2. I moved to Australia as a young boy with my family in
1989 from Hungary, due to the fall of communism. I still
have strong cultural roots to Hungary even though I grew
up in Australia and call Australia home. My values are
perseveration of culture, preservation of languages,
equality among all people and building sustainable
countries.

3. I believe we must
recognise what this
woman has achieved
and that we should
continue to pursue her
aspirations for this
electorate and this
country. Vida Goldstein
was a suffragist,
feminist and pacifist,
who made significant
achievements of social
reforms (Brownfoot
2016).
5. Almost 2 in 3 Australian adults are overweight. Excess weight, especially
obesity, is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease, Type 2 diabetes,
some musculoskeletal conditions and some cancers (AIHW 2016). I would
like to enforce a sugar tax on Australia. If we don’t do something about
this issue now, Australia will have a grim future.
6. Seeing as though we live in a multicultural country, Australians
will benefit greatly from acquiring fluency in more than just
English. Physiological studies have found that speaking two or
more languages benefits the cognitive process significantly (ABS
2012).
