Albert Einstein was born in Ulm, Germany in 1879 and showed an extraordinary curiosity for science from a young age, taking music lessons and playing violin and piano. He graduated from high school in 1896 and obtained his doctorate degree in 1905, during which year he published four influential research papers, including his Special Theory of Relativity, and discovered the famous equation "e=mc2" relating energy and mass.
