Jose de Castro presented on Phono, an open source phone SDK created by Voxeo Labs. Phono allows developers to make and receive phone calls and send messages directly from a web browser using JavaScript. It is built on Tropo, Voxeo's real-time communications API, and aims to expand voice and messaging capabilities on the web. Future plans include additional plugins for video calling, screen sharing, and file transfer to create a more full-featured communication experience.
