Rangpur Sugar Mills Ltd is one of the largest sugar mills in northern Bangladesh, located in Gaibandha district. It was established in 1965 and nationalized by the government in 1972 after Bangladesh's liberation war. The mill contributes to the socioeconomic development of the region through activities like education, infrastructure development, and job creation. Its mission is to control sugar prices and produce natural sugar while building a strong socioeconomic environment. It aims to establish itself as a unique sugar brand and diversify its product line. The mill operates an 1842 acre farm for cultivating sugarcane and other crops like lemon, mustard, and fish. under EPIDC. After liberation war in 1972 as
per PO-27 government nationalized this

country as largest sugar producing unit to
control the price of sugar all around the
