Visible Thinking is a flexible and systematic research-
  based approach to integrating the development of
  students' thinking with content learning across subject
  matters.
There are three ways to get started using Visible
  Thinking....
 1-Start with Routines

 2-Start by exploring Ideals

 3-Start by focusing on Documentation
   How does it work in the classroom?

   At the core of Visible Thinking are practices that
    help make thinking visible: Thinking Routines
    loosely guide learners' thought processes and
    encourage active processing.

   A routine can be thought of as any
    procedure, process, or pattern of action that is used
    repeatedly to manage and facilitate the
    accomplishment of sp.ecific goals or tasks
   We learn best what we can see and hear ("visible
    thinking" means generally available to the
    senses, not just what you can see with your eyes).
    We watch, we listen, we imitate, we adapt what we
    find to our own styles and interests, we build from
    there. Now imagine learning to dance when the
    dancers around you are all invisible. Imagine
    learning a sport when the players who already
    know the game can't be seen.
