David Diaz is a famous children's book author and illustrator. Some of his most well-known books include Sharing the Seasons, Cesar Si si Puede! Yea we can, and The Little Scarecrow Boy. He has won awards like the Caldecott Medal in 1995 for Smoky Night. Diaz finds inspiration from music and seeks to convey stories to children through his illustrations in the same way that music speaks to him. He donates part of his earnings to children's charities and encourages kids to pursue their dreams through his work.

2) They visited the HanshiKhushi school and learned the students enjoyed art but didn't have enough volunteers, so the Anando students decided to help out.
3) The Anando students enjoyed working with the HanshiKhushi students, finding they had just as much fun as with other friends, and created crafts like pen stands and keyrings to sell at an upcoming school sale.
