This would recognize their significance in African American history and education. Goals include hiring a preservation planner, updating the National Register nomination, and stabilizing historic buildings. Over 65 people attended an initial historic tour of the campus organized by the group. The Friends of Lincoln Village will continue working to secure the needed resources to have the historic designation completed.
CZ09 Sea Grant presentations
This document discusses using shipwrecks and maritime heritage as an economic development tool in Ohio. It outlines a 3-phase project to develop a website, brochure, and signage highlighting significant shipwrecks in Lake Erie. The website OhioShipwrecks.org was created featuring 28 shipwrecks. Over 1 million hits and 21,000 unique visitors have been received. A brochure was also printed and distributed. The next phase will place interactive kiosks and roadside signage along Lake Erie to further promote coastal tourism in Ohio related to shipwreck exploration and history.

A wound is a break in the integrity of the skin or tissues, which may be associated with disruption of the structure and function.
Healing is the body’s response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.
Complications of wound healing like infection, hyperpigmentation of scar, contractures, and keloid formation.

- 6. Mathews House (1829) The famed master builder Jonathan Goldsmith designed and built this well-proportioned federal style residence in 1829 for Dr. John H. Mathews. It is considered to be one of the finest Goldsmith houses. The house was moved to its present location on the campus of Lake Erie College from the original North State Street site in 1949 and was registered with the Ohio Historical Society in 1965.Today, the Mathews House serves as a guest house for alumni as well as other esteemed visitors. It was completely redecorated in 2008.
- 7. Once they arrived in Ohio, some runaway slaves decided to remain in the state. They usually settled in neighborhoods with other African Americans. Many runaway slaves continued on to Canada.
