                               Poster Printing
The poster printer has two sizes of paper: 36 inch paper and 24 inch paper. In order to have a
poster that does not need to be trimmed; one of the sides of the poster should match the
dimensions of the paper during the design.

   1) Each user should provide the desired dimensions of their poster.
   2) The poster printer supports a variety of file types (PowerPoint, Publisher, PDF, etc…).
      Please open the file. Check the dimensions of the original file to see if the file needs to
      be expanded or contracted to match the desired dimensions.
   3) Once the poster size has been verified, click on the file menu and select “Print Setup”
   4) Under the Print Setup menu, select the Poster Printer




   5) Click on the “Properties” tab to bring up the Paper options setting. Click on the custom
      Link.

   6) Under the Name section, Please name your project the dimensions of your poster (ex.
      36 X 20) and click Save. Also change the Width and Length to match the Specs of the
      Poster. Click OK. (If the original document size does not match the request, see step 6.1)




   7) Click on the features tab. Select % of actual size and type in the adjustment. Print
      adjustments must be done by percentage. (ex. If the original document is 10x10, if you
      increase the document to %200 it will print out at 20X20). Click OK.

   8) After selecting your document size, select the quality of your paper ( The higher the
      quality, the slower the printing process). Ensure that the box is selected to show a
      preview before printing (This will show you the poster printer’s software preview).
      Press OK.




   9) When you return to the Print Setup screen, ensure that you have selected the custom
      print settings that you have just created by selecting 30X20 under the paper size drop
      down menu. Poster. When you have selected your paper size click Print.




   10) You will be taken to the HP print preview screen. Verify that the settings are correct and
       then click print.
