2. Positive Use-Introduction
The tongue-represents our ability to speak
It's use is an indicator of
-state of our spiritual life- luke 6:45
-our spiritual growth, maturity, and perfection, James
3 vs 2-3
-our state of heart, mind , and what constitutes our
prevailing meditations or thought pattern
Mastering and maximizing its positive use
determines our lot and altitude in life
Remember a Closed mouth is a closed destiny
We must "love the use of the tongue" see prov 18:21
3. To use the tongue
positively ...
Is to use the tongue rightly, wisely, productively
Using the tongue satisfactorily to produce desired results
(speaker, hearer, and God satisfied)
By WHAT, WHEN and HOW we speak
we speak intentionally or unintentionally (from our
subconscious or as a reaction or response to a stimulus)
Is to maximize the power inherent in SPEAKING
…speaking is one major attribute that makes us like God...man
became a living and soul-speaking spirit, Gen 2:7
4. ... power in the tongue
...power to control our whole life and future...see
James 3:3-5
Tongue likened to what is used in controlling
horse[bit], & ship[ rudder] -you become what
comes out of your mouth-if you say what God says,
you become it
Power to create-Genesis 1:1-end
Power to sustain a situation or abort/ avert
Power to heal, comfort and influence -prov12:18
Power to activate the promises of God and our
inheritances, Philemon 1:6,KJV, 2 Cor 4:13
5. Ways to use our tongue
positively
To praise God, in songs, in understanding, in spirit
To pray to God,
-Every spontaneous comment may amount to prayer;
pray rather than murmur, complain, or blame others
-everyone that confessed negatively died in the
wilderness-Numbers 13:30-33
To make our confession of faith over any matter-hold
fast your confession of faith without wavering, Heb 10:23
Witness Christ to others- not gossip,
To bring comfort the those who mourn, healing to the
hurting, and influence others positively

Choose the right time to speak to get right results-Eccl
3:1,7,prov 20:19, prov 15,23
Right words are forcible {job 6:25kjv }
Soft words turn away anger- Prov 25:15,15:5
Wise words are irresistible-converts a soul, brings success in
exams etc

tongue
Abraham & Sarah-God had to change their names before
they could receive their miracle,Gen 17:5,15
Abigail and Nabal-1Sam 25:18-11,23-24
Speaking right words can make you receive a miracle you
may not deserve – An example is the cannanite woman in
Matthew 15:22-28-
Courageous and bold declaration –Joshua asking the sun to
stand still
Hezekiah vs Eli ,2king 20:1-5 ,vs 1 samuel 3:18
8. conclusion
Renewal of our mind
Maximizing the positive use of our tongue ,a man shall eat
from the fruits of his lip
We must deliberately engage our tongue in productive use
