1. Comenius Meeting in Portugal
12th-17th January 2014
Portuguese Students’
Reports
2. This week was amazing. It was an
unforgettable experience that I want to
repeat without any doubt.
I learned many things, new languages, new
cultures, new costumes and I still learned
more about some regions of Portugal.
I made new friends who will stay in my
heart for the rest of my life.
I think this Comenius Project is a very
interesting project in which everyone
should participate.
Thank you all for this week and it is a
privilege to participate in this project.
By Beatriz Pereira
3. I really enjoyed this meeting.
It was very funny and I made
lots of new friends.
I can't wait for the next one!
By Bernardo Soares
4. In my opinion, the Comenius Project is a
way to know new cultures and share ours. I
see this new experience as a way to get
responsibility and live with people who were
originally unknown and became my friends.
In my case, I host at my home a Polish girl.
Not only I created a new friendship, but I
also learnt how to speak her language and I
had the opportunity to taste chocolates
from her country. Furthermore, through the
week we visited very interesting places and
monuments that gave foreign students and
teachers a better perspective of
Portuguese culture.
Daniela Lopes
5. They had the opportunity to taste our food and they were really delighted.
We didn`t only visit Torres Novas, but also other Portuguese cities. I think
everyone loved the chosen places and found them very interesting. I and
some other Portuguese students decided to do other kind of activities too
and I think our foreign partners enjoyed them a lot. In general, I think
everything went on well and for me this week was something different but
awesome. Unfortunately, many of the people I met, I will never see them
again. It`s a shame it has been only a week and I really miss my new
friend.

In my opinion the visit to Portugal was
very interesting, because we knew the
partners of our Portuguese
colleagues and also received in our
house our own partners.
I think the tours and the activities
were very well organized and very
interactive. To me these visits allowed
me to meet different touristic places
in Portugal which I didn´t know yet.
This project was very important
because it helped us to make new
friends and experience different
cultures. It also allowed us to improve
our English language and practise it a
little bit more.
7. For me it was a great week
where I had lots of fun and made
new foreign friends. We
travelled with them by bus not
only in Torres Novas, but to
other culturally important cities,
like Fátima and Alcobaça, and to
“local wonders” like the Caves
of Mira de Aire.
However, the weather wasn’t
very good (it rained too much),
but it was still great fun! I loved
it, and so did my Polish friend!

8. During the Comenius week, we had the
chance to visit many places, like
Alcobaça Monastery, Mira D’Aire Caves
and Nazaré beach. We had some great
experiences, like the fact of learning
how to cook “Bolos de Cabeça” and to
practise “Geocash”. All the activities
were very relevant and let us develop
closer relationships with our foreign
partners.
I liked it very much because it was a
different experience for me which
allowed me to review some of the
friends I made in Barcelona, in last
September.

9. The Comenius Project it is a really funny way of
meeting new people, new cultures, habits and
costumes and it is a good way to meet very nice
people and make new friends. I loved this week, I
appreciated a lot being with people from all over
the Europe, We could learn with them and with the
places we visited. I think the places where we went
were amazing and I learnt a lot with the castles
and about some history about my country that I
did not know. All the places we visited were
beautiful but what I really enjoyed most was the
“Alcobaça Monastery” because I had never been
there and I learnt a lot. Riding a horse was my
favourite activity because I love horses. The
activity that I enjoyed less was visiting the library
because it was a bit boring not just for me but for
the other teens, too. I liked being with Daniela, Inês
and our friends from other country, We went to
the bowling and to the air force where my father
works and we really liked it.

10. I think that the visit to Portugal was
really good and funny. The partners
loved it and appreciated it a lot. I
liked to have Sevgi (Turkish partner)
and Ana (Spanish partner) in my
house.
The activities were very good and
one of my favourite moments was
the farewell dinner.
The goodbye was hard but we will
continue talking and sharing
moments.
By Maria João Contente
11. I liked the Comenius Meeting in
Torres Novas because I saw the
most beautiful things and places
during this week. I liked a lot of the
“Dinosaurs’ footprints”, the visit to
the “Monastery of Alcobaça” and to
to Nazaré and “Sítio”.
I loved to participate in this project
because it was a great way to meet
new people and to remember them
for the rest of our lives.
By Nuno Sénica
12. I think that was the most
fantastic week of my live.
I spoke with people of different
countries and that was
amazing.
I think these initiatives must
continue.
By Ricardo Canais
13. I liked very much to help in the
organization of the Portuguese
meeting. I hosted two Turkish girls in
my house and I did all my best to make
them feel at home. I liked very much to
share many activities with teachers
and students. For me these projects
are very important because they
enrich our culture with this kind of
interaction with other countries and
also improve the students’ English
language. It also helped us to become
more mature and to develop the way
how to present our work to the other
Comenius partners.
I really loved to meet different people
of Poland, Italy, Spain, Romania and
Turkey.
