7. Concept
The concept is a combination of lego + fireworks.The ‘lego’ plays a role
in division of space, like the different pieces of a lego form one piece, in
the same way the spaces are divided according to the activities. For ex-
ample, the bedroom is divided into 4 zones - Eat/ Work / Relax / Sleep.
Fireworks adds more fun,quirky, colorful and whimsical character to the
space.

Objective
To create a territory of empowerment and engage
rape survivors into a space which will help overcome
their fears, low self-esteem, heal their sorrows, elimi-
nate the stigma of being raped and overcome the
post-traumatic stress and to evoke a feeling of recov-
ery and reconnection in them, so they transform into
independent strong individuals in an environement
where nature plays a vital role in transition.

Center for Women. It is a unit of MGH where rape
survivors and victims of sexual assault are treated
after undergoing medical treatment at MGH hospital.
This is a center where a women’s physical, emotional
and social well being is brought back to life through a
program which nurtures their soul from within.
