7. Preg (Polyurethane composite board) is
comprised of five layers. Two outer faces
that can be textured to suit the product, two
adhesive layers that sandwich an aluminum
or plastic honeycomb structure. This
composition increases strength and
decreases weight of the device.
Manufacturability
The device is made up of several
components. They would be assembled
onto the truck and modified tailgate.

19. Device Function
Visible light is emitted from seven
pods. The reflected light is
captured and compiled to create
a 3D image on a smartphone.

Manufacturability
The white outer body is made
of injection molded ABS cast
in a single cavity male female
mold. The other components
are then assembled into the
main body.
20. Prototyping
The large central pod and
one small pod were turned
on the lath. The small pod
was then cast to create
multiples. Each pod was
painted to simulate high
gloss plastic and adhered to
a simulated green rubber
base. Then the pods were
put in a case made from a
painted hat box.

All Components
Functionality
The device is comprised of several
systems of components. Chemical
synthesization occurs due to a
reaction of hydrogen peroxide
and a catalyst, forming oxygen
and water. The oxygen produced
is then mixed with vaporized
medication and delivered to the
patient.
