1. NAS RAJA
PORTFOLIO OF WORK (2001-2012)
CLARY BUSINESS MACHINES
ECOMMERCE STRATEGY MANAGER/ CTO
OFFICE SUPPLIES
Launch of the company’s Office Supplies side of the business with OfficeProductsMall.com built using
ASP.NET/SQL Server. The store is built on top of an ecommerce solution called LogicBlock, which, in turn, is built on
top of the open source .NET ecommerce platform nopCommerce. The store carries over 40,000 products for which
content is fetched through an API provided by Etilize.com.
CUSTOM ECOMMERCE CMS
Customized PHP/MySQL based multi-store CMS that now powers 60+ online stores including
ClaryBusinessMachines.com. Project managed the development of this CMS as well as did the market research to
identify and hone features that an ecommerce CMS should have.
SOUTH AMERICAN EXPANSION
Launch of Clary Business Machines in South America with clary.com.co, fotocopiadora.com.co and other online
stores using the custom CMS solution built in-house. Multi-language support was added to the CMS in order to
accommodate Spanish and the Google Translate API was used to translate thousands of product pages
automatically into Spanish.
PPC MARKETING
I performed ongoing AdWords management of 40+ campaigns across three AdWords accounts and introduced
Microsoft AdCenter and LinkedIn PPC marketing to the company’s PPC marketing efforts. This work included
developing new campaigns to market new ecommerce stores as well as maintaining and tweaking existing
campaigns both to improve conversions and CTR as well as to market new products as they got added to the
company’s portfolio. Total PPC budget was over USD 700,000. I’m an avid user of tools like SpyFu.com and
KeywordSpy.com to siphon out long-tail keywords and find these tools indispensible especially when marketing in
highly competitive niches.

Expansion into Office Furniture market segment with BestOfficeFurnitureDeal.com.
LEAD GENERATION

2. Lead Generation via PPC, Email Marketing and Virtual Sales Reps - for highly competitive niches such as Video
Conferencing Equipment. The daily PPC budget for the video conferencing campaigns was in the vicinity of USD
1,000.
SHOPPING PORTAL FEEDS
Generation of custom product feeds for Google Products, Google AdWords, Amazon and others. Different
shopping portals accept product feeds in slightly varying formats and it is important to adhere to the taxonomy of
the individual shopping portal in order to rank high in shopping portal search results; hence the need for multiple
product feeds.
CLARY BUSINESS MACHINES CENTRALIZED ECOMMERCE STORE
Launch of the mega-store site ClaryBusinessMachines.com using custom PHP-based CMS built in-house. The store
showcases all products that the company retails, amounting to over 2000 products in total.
INTERACTIVE WHITEBOARDS
Interactive whiteboards specific online store interactive-boards.com, built on top of the CMS built in-house.
MIMIO BOARDS
Online store for interactive whiteboards from the manufacturer called Mimio. The store soon became the most
visited Mimio store on the web after the launch of the site mimio-boards.com.
SHOPPING CART AND LANDING PAGE OPTIMIZATIONS
Shopping cart optimization to reduce abandonment rates and landing page optimization to improve conversions
were both important activities carried out on ecommerce projects such as ClaryBusinessMachines.com, Live-
Conferencing.com, and others.
DOCUMENT CAMERAS
Online store that retails document cameras for business and education - document-camera.com.
ID CARDS PRINTERS
Large ID Cards Printers retail store - IDCards-Printers.com, also built on top of the in-house built ecommerce CMS.
CONVERSION TRACKING
Conversion Tracking and Lead Tracking for the company’s various online stores via Google Analytics.

3. OFFICE SHREDDERS STORE
Fellowes is the most popular shredder brand in America. This project involved revamping the company’s retail site
that sells Fellowes shredders - Fellowes-shreddder.com.
NORVIDA
SOFTWARE PROGRAM MANAGER
SABERKNOT
A virtual concierge for hotel guests, SaberKnot is a touch screen based kiosk system installed in hotel rooms. The
system enables the hotel guest to order local services from SaberKnot partners such as movie tickets, fast food,
beauty and spa services and shopping services. Large-scale project with Kiosk application built using C# for the
Windows Embedded platform.
RE5 TREATMENT SYSTEM
An electromagnetic treatment system for arthritis patients, Re5 is a client/server application consisting of a Re5
treatment device and a Re5 web application. A Re5 treatment practitioner uses the Re5 device to treat the patient.
The device then syncs the patient data with the online Re5 server. The Re5 practitioner can then manage the
patient’s treatment plan using the online Re5 web application that peruses the patient data. Re5 has been
developed using ASP.NET and C# with Microsoft SQL Server as the backend database system.
ELECTROLUX CAMPAIGNS
This project involved building a web application to support promotional mail marketing campaigns by the
electronics giant Electrolux. The system allowed customers to sign up for promotions, earn points and claim
various prizes and discounts on products. The project used ASP.NET, Kentico CMS and Microsoft SQL Server.
ONLINE PERSONALS
Rajarani.dk is the first Scandinavian online dating community for Muslims; developed with ASP using SQL Server as
backend.
WEIBEL DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT
Customized document management system that supports dividing customers into groups and assigning document
rights at the group level. Custom CMS developed with ASP.NET and C#.

4. INTAGLEO
SOFTWARE PROJECT MANAGER
IBM TIVOLI STORAGE MANAGER / PREDATAR
IBM’s Tivoli Storage Manager is an enterprise level Storage Management system. Predatar is a .NET based Tivoli
automation system that makes it easier to administer the Tivoli Storage Manager. My contribution included
developing a basic understanding of Tivoli / Predatar and then setting up software processes and putting in place a
development team to take over the development of the Predatar system from the customer’s in-house team.
RAPIDSEND PAYMENT PROCESSING SYSTEM
RapidSend is a micropayment system targeted at the South American market. RapidSend uses the Arias billing
management platform to manage service subscriptions and the Automated Clearing House (ACH) network for
processing payments. An ASP.NET based online application allows customers to use the system to send and receive
micropayments. Project scope included developing the prototype for the ASP.NET application as well as preparing
the analysis and design document for interacting with the Automated Clearing House network.

MICROSOFT NAVISION ERP CUSTOMIZATION
Built for Simply Wireless, a mobile phone retailer in the US, this project involved customizing and implementing
Microsoft Navision (Dynamics NAV) as the customer management solution for Simply Wireless. Project included
building workflows for user registration, user activation with mobile operators (Nextel, Sprint, and Cellular),
performing credit checks on customers and configuring mobile phone plans for customers.
WYNCS MANAGER
Wyncs enables the sharing of event related information with potential attendees through a website. The customer
places a specialized link on the website. When a visitor clicks that link, Wyncs transfers event related data such as
event's location, contact information and driving directions into the visitor’s Microsoft Outlook or Palm Desktop
system. This project involved developing functionality to synchronize event information between Wyncs and a
user's Palm Desktop application. The solution was built using Visual C++ and the Palm Desktop SDK.
SIMPLY WIRELESS WEB SERVICE INTEGRATION
Built for Simply Wireless, a mobile phone retailer in the US, this project involved developing a gateway for Simply
Wireless ERP system; an XML SOAP based web service that consumes web services from mobile operators (Sprint,
Nextel and Cellular) and exposes their functionality from a unified interface. Functionality included registering and

5. activating users with mobile operators, configuring customers’ mobile plans, configuring credit card information
for customers and related activities.
PAPER HANDLING EQUIPMENT STORE
Ecommerce store built using PHP with MySQL as backend – based on the open source CMS called OsCommerce.
NUAXIS TIME SHEETS MANAGEMENT
Customized timesheet management system for NuAxis, built using ASP.NET with SQL Server as backend.
SEO AND COPYWRITING SERVICES
Managed SEO and product copy development services for clients including online retailer Clary Business Machines.
DATAFOCAL SYSTEMS
TECHNICAL LEAD, PROJECT MANAGER
REACHPLUS ALERTS
A TCP/IP based network wide critical alert broadcasting system consisting of a console for sending alerts and a
client application for receiving alerts. Alerts can optionally be scheduled, delivered offline and can require explicit
acknowledgement from the receiver. The system supports network-wide rollout of ReachPlus Clients (alert
receivers), active directory support, message encryption, alert criticality levels and more. The system was built
using Visual C++, MFC, STL and COM.
IMWAVE BUSINESS MESSENGER (BM)
BM is a client/server application that allows merging contacts from Live Messenger, Yahoo and AOL Messenger.
The user can transparently communicate with these messaging services using BM, send offline and scheduled
messages to contacts as well as sync contacts with a web server. The product was developed using Visual C++.
FASTCOMP
FastComp allows web developers to ensure compliance with the US accessibility standard called Section 508. The
system can download a website for analysis and then highlight areas of code that need to be tweaked for
compliance as well as providing suggestions what changes to make in order to achieve compliance. FastComp was
developed using Visual Basic.
INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR NATIONAL PARK SERVICE

6. Built using ASP with Oracle as backend, this inventory management system allows the National Park Service to
manage hardware inventory for more than 50 offices spread across the United States.
OUTSYNC
OutSync enables the user to synchronize contacts with the web to enable contact access anywhere. User’s
contacts can update the contact info online and the updated information becomes automatically available in
Outlook. Outsync has been developed using Visual C++.
IVR AUTOMATION FOR WWTELECOM
Built with Visual C++, the automation tool sends modem commands to the WWTelecom IVR system to register and
update customer data in bulk. The system reads its data from a SQL Server based database.
INTERNET EXPLORER POP UP BLOCKER
Built using Visual C++, the pop up blocker uses some advanced techniques (Windows mouse and keyboard hooks)
to stop IE from opening unwanted pop-ups. The IE Pop up Blocker was built at a time when IE had no native pop-
up blocking support.
PALM OS ENHANCED TO-DO
Developed in C, Enhanced To-do improves upon the functionality of the standard To-do list such as the ability to
create sub-tasks and set task priorities.
