This is the key application used by RadioShack for avoiding theft and loss prevention of
store items there by increasing the profit margin. Stores will be instructed to take physical
inventory twice or thrice a year which didn’t cover many valuable items loss/ missing items in
the store. So to overcome that RadioShack came up with cycle count which will take
inventory of subset of items in the store on a periodic basis like once in a week to keep track
of all the high valued items. RadioShack stores will be intimated to take cycle count on a date
and a list of items to be taken will be sent via email and also the store DB will be updated.
Store associates will make use of a windows application to feed in the inventory details which
will be sent to store center via FTP. Stores users can see a report of mismatching items count
between on hand quantity and store center quantity in the windows application. Web services
will be used to fetch the store center quantity.

 Daily Sales Report Automation
Daily Sales Report Automation project purpose is to automate the process of report
generation for daily sales figures which was initially generated manually every day morning
using the previous day sales figures and comparisons of the figures against plan, previous
days, weeks, months and years. The data for these reports will be loaded from different
interfaces into SQL server 2008 using SSIS packages and reports are generated using SSRS
2008 and mail messages will be sent to business persons after reports generation with a mail
summary of the report and the path for the reports to view where it will be stored in the excel
format.
