A polygon is a geometric shape made up of straight, connected line segments that form a closed figure without any gaps. Regular polygons have equal side lengths and interior angles, while irregular polygons have unequal sides or angles. Common examples of regular polygons are triangles, squares, pentagons and hexagons.
