Polish culture has a rich tradition in many artistic fields like music, film, literature and art. It is known worldwide for contributions such as the polonaise dance, folk costumes, and famous composers and artists. Poland has nearly 200 theaters and 13 opera houses showcasing plays, musicals and operas. Polish culture and arts are also recognized through many Nobel prize winners in literature and peace, such as Henryk Sienkiewicz, Maria Skłodowska-Curie, Wisława Szymborska, Lech Wałęsa, Olga Tokarczuk, Czesław Miłosz, and Władysław Reymont.
