A performance monitoring checklist (PMC) is used by supervisors to directly observe and collect data on a therapist's implementation of procedures like preference assessments. The PMC contains the steps of the procedure and the supervisor records a "1" for each step implemented correctly or a "0" for incorrect steps. The total number of correct steps per trial are summed to calculate the therapist's accuracy. The example shows a PMC for a paired-stimulus preference assessment containing 10 steps scored over 10 trials.
