Neemrana is an important historic town located 90 km from Gurgaon in Rajasthan. It lies on the Delhi-Jaipur highway and is home to a 14th century hill fort that was once ruled by the Chauhan dynasty. The most famous tourist attraction in Neemrana is the Neemrana Fort, built in 1464 AD, which was once the third capital of Prithviraj Chauhan III's descendants. The fort was chosen by Raja Rajdeo and derives its name from a local chieftain Nimola Meo who lost his kingdom to the Chauhans.
