 An iframe/image Pixel is an HTML code which is loaded when a user visits a

pixel tracking?
 Clicks contains the
 Session IP
 Time
 When click is done on the link the cookie is dropped on the browser
 Cookie contains
 Time
 Date
 Offer id
 Affiliate id
 Transaction id
 Ip address
 Sale is done pixel start working
 It search for the last cookie dropped on browser
 Matches it with the order id and fires the pixel
accordingly

Disadvantages of Tracking Pixels
 Visitors are often unaware of the data collected.
 Too much personalization can discourage visitors.
 More bandwidth required decreased load times.

two separate processes: what happens
when a user clicks on an offer and what
happens upon conversion.

 When a user clicks on an offer :
 User sees an offer.
 User clicks on the offer.
 Click goes to a server.
 The server records the click, then
generates and records the
Transaction ID for that session
 Server immediately directs the user
to the offer’s landing page,
including the ID for that session in
the offer URL.

 The advertiser’s server sends a signal
to Server “fires a post-back” that
includes the Transaction ID initially
supplied.
