- Indoor flash techniques like bounce flash to reduce red eye and fill flash to reduce shadows.
- Tips for photography in sunlight, like shooting in early morning or late afternoon when the sun is lower and from the side to provide modeling.
The document proposes adapting Chance the Rapper's 2013 mixtape "Acid Rap" into a 13-episode cartoon series titled "Acid Life". It would follow the main character Chano through different experiences as depicted on the mixtape. Some challenges identified include appealing to the original audience while making it suitable for a wide TV audience and interpreting the psychedelic and drug-related themes of the mixtape. The target audience would be Chance the Rapper fans aged 15-25 as well as general cartoon viewers aged 15-20. The adaptation aims for a soft psychedelic, colorful visual style with influences from cartoons like Hey Arnold and Adventure Time. A short storyboard analysis section provides details on individual storyboard frames

The 13-episode cartoon series would follow the main character "Chano" and his friends through different experiences in Chicago while maintaining the psychedelic influences and classic soul/juke/acid jazz styles of the original mixtape. Constraints include pleasing the original audience and the lengthy production process, while opportunities include reaching a wide new audience and interpreting the songs through animation. The target audience would be Chance the Rapper fans aged 15-25 as well as general cartoon viewers aged 15-20. The proposed cinematic style draws influence from shows like "Hey Arnold" and "Adventure Time
The document discusses the adaptation of the musical Jersey Boys into a 2014 film directed by Clint Eastwood. The document also compares some key differences between the stage musical and the film adaptation, such as cast, sets/costumes, and level of accuracy in portraying the time period.
The document discusses The Great Gatsby novel and the 2013 film adaptation directed by Baz Lurhmann. It notes some key differences between the novel and film, such as Gatsby's death and Nick's backstory. These changes were made to give the story a more modern interpretation and leave some elements open to interpretation. The film was a financial success but received mixed reviews. It won several awards for its production design. Legal and ethical considerations around themes in the original novel and use of music in the film are also mentioned.
The document discusses Baz Luhrmann's 1996 film adaptation of William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. It summarizes that the film modernizes the classic story by setting it in 1990s Florida and changing aspects like the feud between the families to be about competing business corporations. While some plot details are altered, the overall storyline remains the same. The adaptation was both a critical and financial success, grossing over $147 million worldwide and receiving several BAFTA awards.

She decided to pursue Citified, an urban station that would play genres of old and new music suitable for this style and broadcast weekly on Fridays and Saturdays from 10pm to 12am primarily targeting an audience aged 14 to 28 with a secondary audience of 29 to 35. The show would be available via radio broadcast, television, and video guests would be posted online with full audio available after airing.

Segments would include news, weather, celebrity interviews, and discussions between the hosts, with music making up the majority of airtime. The four young black actresses - Amandla Stenberg, Zendaya Coleman, Willow Smith, and Yara Shahidi - came together as an activist group after meeting at the Black Girls Rock awards show. While not officially named, they are commonly referred to as the "woke gurls". Through social media, they educate people on issues relating to black culture and lives. Their message focuses on empowerment, self-love, and beauty regardless of skin color or features. Though some see them as too young to address social issues, their activism has gained significant media attention especially among young audiences.

The four young black actresses and activists - Amandla Stenberg, Zendaya Coleman, Willow Smith, and Yara Shahidi - started an informal group after meeting at an awards show to educate others on issues related to black culture and lives. As talented performers in their own right, they have come together through social media to spread messages of empowerment and address social injustices. While some see them as too young to comment on such topics, they believe their platforms help bring awareness to important causes.

The British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) is an independent organization founded in 1912 that classifies and censors films in the UK. They rate films using a certificate system of U, PG, 12A, 12, 15, and 18 to indicate the appropriate audience. The BBFC aims to classify films in a neutral and unbiased manner. Various acts, like the Obscene Publication Act and Video Recordings Act, give the BBFC power to ban or cut films containing obscene, violent, or inappropriate content to protect viewers.
The primary audience for the film The Decent would be females aged 15-25, as they are likely to have free time to watch films and not have other priorities like family. They would likely have disposable income as students or workers with part-time jobs. Their socioeconomic status would be category E or lower-middle class with parents in categories C1-C2. A secondary audience would be males aged 15-25 attracted by the horror genre and sex appeal of an all-female cast, with similar socioeconomic backgrounds ranging from lower to middle class. An additional audience would be adventurous individuals aged 25-35 who enjoy extreme sports portrayed in the film, likely having careers in middle class statuses C1-C

This document provides a summary of different camera shots used in a film scene. It describes shots such as close ups of a birthday cake and of the main character Sarah's face showing fear. It also describes midshots that show Sarah is in a hospital and looking confused about what happened to her family. Tracking shots and steadicam shots are used to follow Sarah running down a never-ending hospital hallway as the lights go out, reflecting her feeling of not being able to escape her situation.
This scene takes place in a hospital after Sarah wakes up confused from a car accident. The lighting starts dark and then is lit by candles to reflect Sarah's confused state as she wakes and learns she will miss her daughter's birthday. Sarah wanders down a green-tinged hallway representing her confusion and mystery, with lights turning off behind her. She runs erratically until finding safety with Beth. Prosthetics are used to show Sarah's injuries, while her hospital gown indicates she survived unlike her family, represented by a birthday cake prop. A heart monitor underscores the theme of death.

Celador originally produced television shows but gained success from Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. This allowed Celador to become self-sufficient and expand into film production and international markets. One of their most profitable films was Slumdog Millionaire, which they funded themselves and shot with a UK and Indian crew. While The Descent was also profitable for Celador, other films from that time period like Nanny McPhee and X-Men films had higher budgets but also higher profits.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
