English Bulldogs have a difficult time cooling themselves down due to their physical traits. As a brachycephalic breed, they have short snouts and thick wrinkly skin which makes it hard for them to pant and regulate their body temperature. Their shortened nasal passages also limit effective breathing and heat dissipation.
