To achieve the 1950s look for a photo shoot, the stylist used heated rollers to create soft curls in Emily Parker's blonde hair and brushed Emily Wilson's brunette hair to one side and styled it in a more 1950s fashion. The makeup focused on red/pink lipstick or lip gloss and eyeliner. Props photographed for the shoot included a parasol, picnic bag, old-fashioned radio, large flower, and a homemade cigarette holder created from a painted chopstick.

2. In order to truly get the 1950's look for
my photo-shoot, I had to consider hair
styles as well as every other aspect.
For Emily Parkers blonde hair, I used
heated rollers to create soft curls in
her hair. For Emily Wilsons brunette
hair, I wanted a more 50's styled hair
as she is my main feature of the
magazine. I simply used a brush to
brush hair to one side and starting
styling.

3. I also did the girls'
make-up. The main
features of the makeup was red/pink
lipstick or lip-gloss and
eye-liner.

4. I also took pictures of some of the props I
would be using during the photo-shoot.
They were: A parasol, a picnic type of bag,
an old-fashioned radio, a large flower and a
cigarette holder. The cigarette holder was
created by me. I used a chopstick and
painted it black, I then dipped the end in
white.
