 Effective in cough cold, bronchitis, catarrh and irritation of
throat
Company:
Qarshi.
Tablet Dose:
 Dissolve slowly in mouth 1 tablet after every four hours
 OR as directed by the physician
Syrup Dose:
 Children: 5ml (1 teaspoonful) every 4 hours
 Adult: 10ml (2 teaspoonsful) every 4 hours

24. Mechanism of Action
 Eucalyptus inhibit the production of cytokines responsible for inflammation
such as tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-alpha, interleukin (IL)-1beta,
leukotriene B4, and thromboxane B2. Ethanolic extracts of eucalyptus leaf
also seem to have anti-inflammatory activity. This might explain its use in
asthma
 Adhotoda vasica enhance bronchial secretion.
 Theophylline relaxes the smooth muscle of the bronchial airways and
pulmonary blood vessels and reduces airway responsiveness to
histamine, methacholine, adenosine, and allergen
Adverse effects
Hence it is safe but in rare cases, Johar Joshanda may cause mild gastric
irritation, especially when it is used in very high doses.
