Career Vision
As a professional who has long and enriching experience in the niche domain of
Technical Communication, I visualize myself in driving the entire gamut of
end-user documentation activities for quality software houses. In a world where
“content is the king”, I want to bridge the gap between software and the people who
intend to use it. My documentation work has driven me to look at software with a
discerning eye, which has led me in acquiring my secondary skill— Usability Analysis.

Job Experience Details
1. Fi-Tek Pvt. Ltd., Kolkata, India [June 2013-present]
As Manager-Technical Writing, I have single-handedly developed a suite of
15User Manuals, 9 Quick Reference Guides, and 2 Runbooks for our
industry-leading Wealth Management/Alternative Investment platform. I have
also developed user manuals for our Business Intelligence and Investment
Planning products. I am deeply engaged in creating new documents whenever
needed and the same time upgrading the existing suite in sync with the software
enhancements. My aim has been to establish and maintainindustry-standard
technical documentation practice in the organization. For this, I started my job by
developing professional documentation templates in sync with the organization’s
branding initiative.
Apart from user manuals, I also deliver innovative, visually-appealing Release
Guides with a marketing undertone. To make our users even more productive in
their day-to-day operations, I have developed a bunch of cheat sheets that focus
on specific tasks or activities.

As Senior Software Engineer (Technical Communication Services), I worked
exclusively on Technical Documentation projects for our client, Visa, the global
leader in the domain of electronic payment systems. My prime responsibilities
included creation and periodical maintenance of our client’s technical
publications—user manuals, operation manuals,online help systems, release
notes, corporate training slide decks, procedure manuals etc.
Additionally, I mentored junior writers; streamlined authoring procedures;
and updated authoring tool usage guidelines as part of corporate Knowledge
Management initiative. I was the Quality Assurance Representative for our
documentation project.
International exposure to some of the top-notch professionals in the Technical
Documentation field; winning the Star Performer of the Year (2009) and Star of

occasions are the highlights of my long and rewarding association with RS.
