I will be a mother and grandmother. I will be supportive of all of their dreams. I will allow them
to make mistakes and to help them learn from them. I will prepare them for life by developing
their knowledge and abilities. I will act as a friend, disciplinarian, support system, educator, and
assistant to my children. I will raise my children to know God and his teachings, be kind to
others, nurture acceptance in them, and understand the importance of hard work and education. I
will encourage them to be true to themselves, but to never judge those who are different from
them. I will help to develop them into loving and understanding beings whose impact on the
earth will be positive and constructive.
I will be a friend and family member who is always there for support. I will never shy away from
the difficult conversations or situations. I will do all in my power to help those I love with any
issue or complaint they may have. I will put others’ needs before my own. I will be a source of
both joyous laughter and somber understanding as needed. I will show my good nature through
the ties I maintain with others and do all possible to never let down those who rely on me.
