PERSEVERANCE:
THE KEY TO
DEVELOPMENT
LESSON 3
Bible Passage:
“Whatever your hands find to
do, do it with all your
might…”
Ecclesiastes
Many of the handy devices we take
for granted today were invented by
people who kept on experimenting.
Thomas Edison tried out more than
5,000 kinds of wire before he
discovered the one which is
burning inside your electric bulb
today.
is the ability to keep going
even when you feel like giving
up.
It implies sacrifice, courage,
steadfastness, and firm
determination.
PERSEVERANCE
is also commitment, endurance and patience. Those
who persevere are not quitters. When you quit, you fail.
Failure and perseverance cannot coexist. It’s a choice
to go an extra mile when everything seems to be
impossible.
It was said by Jim Goodwin, “The impossible is often
the untried.” There is a need to take risks. There is a
need to boldly initiate and put effort to see the goal as
PERSEVERANCE
You have to initiate action and work hard
until the job is completely done. It takes
more than hard work to ensure success;
it takes perseverance to succeed.
But completing our work is not enough,
we must finish it not just to satisfy
ourselves.
It is not a matter of self-contentment, but
knowing that we were created for a
purpose.
Isaiah 43:7
“It is only when one is aware that there
will be a day of reckoning that every
work will be judged by God, that one
can do things with holy fear and
consciousness that someone above is
watching over us.”
