The goal of many research efforts cognate to supply chain management is to propose
mechanisms to reduce operational costs. Inventory holding and conveyance costs are regarded as the
most paramount operational costs in inventory management. Many researches in supply chain
management only consider the inventory cost as a criterion to decide replenishment policy. In the
replenishment process, in juxtaposition of the inventory cost, the conveyance cost is a major cost factor
which affects the shipment size. Thus in this research work the conveyance cost is additionally considered
to minimize the inventory cost.
Two models are studied: when the retailers make decisions independently i.e. Decentralized decision
model and when the retailers are branches of the same firm i.e. Centralized decision model to determine
the best solution to minimize costs.
Accelerometer and EOG Based Wireless Gesture Controlled Robotic ArmIJMER
- This paper deals with the Robotic arm controlled by arm and eye movements, where data
is acquired through the use of accelerometer and EOG amplifier. The hand movements are captured by
the Accelerometer and the eye movements are captured by EOG amplifier. The Robotic arm will pick
and place the object according to the movement of the hand and Robotic arm will move left and right
according to our eye movements. Signals are wirelessly transmitted through RF Encoder and Decoder.
Robotic arm is based on Arduino Duemilanove controller for signal processing, and interfaced with the
Controller serially. This Embedded system will help disabled persons to do work by their own. The
Robotic arm can be used to pick and place hazardous objects.

In recent years many websites have started providing keyword search services on maps. In
these systems, users may experience difficulties finding the entities they are looking for if they do not
know their exact spelling, such as a name of a restaurant. In this paper, we present a novel index
structure and corresponding search algorithm for answering map based approximate-keyword in an
Euclidean space so that the users get their desired results even though they have typos in the keyword.
This work mainly focuses on investigating range queries in Euclidean space

Analysis of MOS Capacitor Loaded Annular Ring MICROSTRIP AntennaIJMER
In this paper a new technique is proposed for achieving increased frequency agility by loading
the patch antenna with a MOS capacitor. Theoretical investigations have been carried out for the MOS
capacitor loaded Annular Ring microstrip antenna, for oxide thicknesses from 100 A to 500 A, to predict
the achievable range of operational bandwidth. In spite of numerous advantages, the simple patch antenna
has a low operational bandwidth, which limits its applicability. Hence this technique of MOS capacitor
loaded Annular Ring microstrip patch antenna is to improve the operating frequency range.
Web search engines help users find useful information on the WWW. However, when the same query is submitted by different users, typical search engines return the same result regardless of who submitted the query. Generally, each user has different information needs for his/her query. Therefore, the search results should be adapted to users with different information needs. So, there is need of
several approaches to adapting search results according to each user’s need for relevant information without any user effort. Such search systems that adapt to each user’s preferences can be achieved by constructing user profiles based on modified collaborative filtering with detailed analysis of user’s browsing history. There are three possible types of web search system which can provide personalized information: (1) systems using relevance feedback, (2) systems in which users register their interest, and (3) systems that recommend information based on user’s history. In first technique, users have to provide feedback on relevant or irrelevant judgments which is time consuming and the second one needs
registration of users with their static interests which need extra effort from user. So, the third technique is best in which users don’t have to give explicit rating; relevancy automatically tracked by user behavior with search results and history of data usage. It doesn’t require registration of interests; it captures changing interests of user dynamically by itself. The result section shows that user’s browsing history allows each user to perform more fine-grained search by capturing changes of each user’s
preferences without any user effort. Users need less time to find the relevant snippet in personalized
search results compared to original results.
A Review of FDM Based Parts to Act as Rapid ToolingIJMER
Abstract: Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) is one from basic Rapid Prototyping (RP) technologies
used in technical practice. In this contribution are presented basic information about parameters such
as layer thickness, part build orientation, raster angle, raster width and air gap. This study provides
insight into complex dependency of strength on process parameters. In this paper microphotographs
are used to show the mechanism of failure. The major reason for weak strength is attributed to
distortion within or between the layers.Developing a curved layer deposition methodology can
improve part quality by reduced lamination, reduction in the staircase effect which leads to improved
dimensional accuracy of the part. Less effort has been made to increase the range of FDM materials
to include metals or metal based composites with the help of metal based composite direct rapid
tooling will allow fabrication of injection moulding dies and inserts with desired thermal and
mechanical properties suitable for using directly in injection moulding machines for short term or
long term production runs.
Improvement of Surface Roughness of Nickel Alloy Specimen by Removing Recast ...IJMER
Abstract: In this investigation, experimental work and computational work are combined to obtain improvement in the surface roughness of nickel alloy specimen, the machining is carried out by means of CNC wire electric discharge machining (WEDM). Brass wire is used as the tool electrode and nickel alloy (Inconel600) is used as the work piece material. The machining parameters such as Pulse-On time (Ton), Pulse-Off time (Toff), Peak Current (Ip), and Bed speed are considered as input parameters for this project. Surface roughness and Recast layer are considered the output parameters. The experiments
with the pre-planned set of input parameters are designed based on Taguchi’s orthogonal array. The surface roughness is measured using stylus type roughness tester and the thickness of the Recast layer is measured using Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). The results obtained from the experiments are fed to the Minitab software and optimum input parameters for the desired output parameters are identified. The software uses the concept of analysis of variance (ANOVA) and indicates the nature of effect of input parameters on the output parameters and confirmation is done by validation
experiments. Once the recast layer thickness is obtained Chemical Etching and abrasive blasting is performed in order to remove the recast layer and again the surface roughness is measured by using stylus type roughness tester. Finally from the obtained results it was found that there was significant improvement in the Surface roughness of the nickel alloy material. In addition using regression analysis this work is stimulated by computational method and the results are obtained
Modeling and Reduction of Root Fillet Stress in Spur Gear Using Stress Relie...IJMER
A gear is a component within a transmission device that transmits rotational forces. Gears
are commonly used for transmitting power. Gear teeth failure due to fatigue is a common fact
observed. Even a small reduction in the root tensile stress results in great raise in the fatigue life of a
gear. They develop high stress concentration at the root and the point of contact. The repeated
stressing on the fillets causes the fatigue failure of gear tooth. For many years, gear design has been
improved by using better material, hardening surfaces with carburization and heat treatment, and shot
penning to improve surface finish etc. Few more hard work have been made to improve the durability
and strength by changing the pressure angle, using the asymmetric teeth, varying the geometry of root
fillet curve and so on. The majority of the above systems don't ensure the compatibility of the current
rigging frameworks. This work presents the possibilities of utilizing the stress redistribution techniques
by introducing the Stress relieving features in the stressed zone to the advantage of reduction of root
fillet stress in spur gear
