Allah Ta’ala berfirman,
وَأَقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتُوا الزَّكَاةَ وَارْكَعُوا مَعَ الرَّاكِعِينَ
“Dan dirikanlah shalat, tunaikanlah zakat dan ruku’lah beserta orang-orang yang ruku’.” (QS. Al-Baqarah: 43)
Syaikh As-Sa’di rahimahullah berkata di dalam kitab tafsirnya bahwa ayat ini memerintahkan untuk m mengerjakan shalat secara lahir dan batin. Warka’uu ma’ar rooki’iin, rukuklah bersama orang yang rukuk. Maksudnya, shalatlah bersama dengan orang-orang yang shalat. Ini adalah perintah untuk melaksanakan shalat berjamaah dan menunjukkan wajibnya. Rukuk juga di sini mewakili shalat, menunjukkan bahwa rukuk adalah rukun shalat dan menunjukkan wajibnya rukuk di dalam shalat.
Mengenai keutamaan shalat berjamaah disebutkan dalam hadits,
صَلاَةُ الْجَمَاعَةِ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ صَلاَةِ الْفَذِّ بِسَبْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ دَرَجَةً
“Shalat berjamaah lebih baik dua puluh tujuh derajat dibanding shalat sendirian.” (HR. Bukhari, no. 645 dan Muslim, no. 650)
Setiap muslim boleh mendirikan shalat berjamaah di mana saja, asalkan di tempat yang suci, baik di rumah, di padang pasir, maupun di masjid. Lihat Al-Mawsu’ah Al-Fiqhiyyah, 27:171.
Dari Jabir bin ‘Abdillah radhiyallahu ‘anhu, Nabi shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda, “Aku dianugerahi lima perkara yang tidak pernah diberikan seorang pun dari Rasul-Rasul sebelumku, yaitu:
وَجُعِلَتْ لِي الأَرْضُ مَسْجِدًا وَطَهُوْرًا
“dijadikan bumi bagiku sebagai tempat shalat dan bersuci (untuk tayammum).” (HR. Bukhari, no. 438 dan Muslim, no. 521, 523)
Shalat berjamaah di masjid lebih utama daripada shalat berjamaah di selain masjid. Lihat Al-Mawsu’ah Al-Fiqhiyyah, 27:171. Masjid yang dimaksud di sini adalah tempat diselenggarakannya shalat secara rutin di dalamnya. Lihat Shalah Al-Mu’min, 2:561.
Dari Zaid bin Tsabit radhiyallahu ‘anhu, bahwa Nabi shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda,

“Shalatlah kalian, wahai manusia, di rumah-rumah kalian, karena sebaik-baiknya shalat adalah shalat seseorang di rumahnya, kecuali shalat wajib.” (Muttafaqun ‘alaih, HR. Bukhari, no. 731 dan Muslim, no. 781).
Alasan shalat berjamaah yang afdal adalah di masjid, yaitu:
Masjid adalah tempat yang mulia dan suci.
Shalat di masjid berarti menampakkan syiar Islam dan banyak jamaah.
Maka dalam keadaan aman tanpa ada uzur, Imam An-Nawawi (w. 676 H) menjelaskan,

Dozens of U.S. states are currently suing Meta for contributing to the youth mental health crisis by inserting addictive features into their products, while the U.S. Surgeon General is touring the nation to bring awareness to the growing epidemic of loneliness and isolation. The country has endured periods of low national morale, such as in the 1970s when high inflation and the energy crisis worsened public sentiment following the Vietnam War. The current mood, however, feels different. Gallup recently reported that national mental health is at an all-time low, with few bright spots to lift spirits.
To better understand how Americans are feeling and their attitudes towards mental health in general, ThinkNow conducted a nationally representative quantitative survey of 1,500 respondents and found some interesting differences among ethnic, age and gender groups.
Technology
For example, 52% agree that technology and social media have a negative impact on mental health, but when broken out by race, 61% of Whites felt technology had a negative effect, and only 48% of Hispanics thought it did.
While technology has helped us keep in touch with friends and family in faraway places, it appears to have degraded our ability to connect in person. Staying connected online is a double-edged sword since the same news feed that brings us pictures of the grandkids and fluffy kittens also feeds us news about the wars in Israel and Ukraine, the dysfunction in Washington, the latest mass shooting and the climate crisis.
Hispanics may have a built-in defense against the isolation technology breeds, owing to their large, multigenerational households, strong social support systems, and tendency to use social media to stay connected with relatives abroad.
Age and Gender
When asked how individuals rate their mental health, men rate it higher than women by 11 percentage points, and Baby Boomers rank it highest at 83%, saying it’s good or excellent vs. 57% of Gen Z saying the same.
Gen Z spends the most amount of time on social media, so the notion that social media negatively affects mental health appears to be correlated. Unfortunately, Gen Z is also the generation that’s least comfortable discussing mental health concerns with healthcare professionals. Only 40% of them state they’re comfortable discussing their issues with a professional compared to 60% of Millennials and 65% of Boomers.
Race Affects Attitudes
As seen in previous research conducted by ThinkNow, Asian Americans lag other groups when it comes to awareness of mental health issues. Twenty-four percent of Asian Americans believe that having a mental health issue is a sign of weakness compared to the 16% average for all groups. Asians are also considerably less likely to be aware of mental health services in their communities (42% vs. 55%) and most likely to seek out information on social media (51% vs. 35%).

Pengurusan Jenazah adalah pengurusan jenazah seorang muslim/muslimah, meliputi 4 (empat) kegiatan:
(1) memandikan, (2) mengkafani, (3) menyalatkan, dan (4) menguburkan
Langkah atau tindakan yang harus dilaksakaan saat kematian itu sudah terjadi, yaitu:
1. Segera mengatupkan atau memejamkan matanya, karena saat ruh sudah dicabut, mata jenazah mengikuti
arahnya.
2. Melenturkan persendiannya agar tidak menjadi kaku dan keras.
3. Menanggalkan pakaian dan perhiasannya dan diganti dengan pakaian yang menutupi dan melindungi
seluruh tubuhnya.
4. Membetulkan letak anggota tubuhnya serta membujurkannya ke arah kiblat.
5. Menyegerakan seluruh proses pengurusan jenazah.
6. Membayarkan utang-utangnya.

Syarat jenazah dimandikan adalah:
1. Beragama Islam,
2. Didapati tubuhnya (walaupun hanya sebagian). Hal ini terjadi pada jenazah yang biasanya mengalami
kecelakaan. Jika ada lukanya, bersihkan terlebih dahulu (jika memungkinkan),
3. Bukan karena mati syahid (mati dalam peperangan membela agama Islam).
Syarat orang yang memandikan jenazah adalah:
1. Muslim, berakal, dan baligh
2. Berniat memandikan jenazah
3. Kepribadiannya jujur dan shaleh
4. Terpercaya, amanah, dan mengetahui hukum memandikan mayat, serta dapat menjaga aib jenazah.
5. Jenis kelamin sama, jenazah laki-laki dimandikan oleh lakilaki, jenazah perempuan dimandikan oleh
perempuan, kecuali suami istri atau mahramnya.

Hal-hal yang perlu dipersiapkan, antara lain: Tempat mandi, air bersih, sidr (bidara), sabun mandi, sarung tangan,
sekidit kapas, air kapur barus.
Tata Cara Memandikan Jenazah:
1. Jenazah dibaringkan di balai atau tempat lain yang memiliki standar, hindari terkena hujan, sinar matahari dan tertutup
(tidak terlihat kecuali oleh orang yang memandikan dan mahramnya).
2. Diperintahkan menutupi mayit dengan pakaian yang melindungi seluruh tubuhnya agar auratnya tidak terlihat.
3. Pihak yang memandikan memakai sarung tangan, air yang digunakan untuk memandikan mayit adalah air suci, dan
disunnahkan mencampurnya dengan daun sidr (bidara), atau larutan kapur barus.
4. Menyiram air ke seluruh badan secara merata dari kepala sampai ke kaki (disunatkan tiga kali atau lebih), dengan
mendahulukan anggota badan sebelah kanan lalu bagian sebelah kiri.
5. Bersihkan giginya, lubang hidung, lubang telinga, celah ketiaknya, celah jari tangan dan kaki serta rambutnya.
6. Membersihkan kotoran dan najis yang melekat pada anggota badan jenazah, khususnya di bagian perut dengan cara
menekan bagian bawah perut dan bersamaan dengan itu angkatlah sedikit bagian kepala dan badan, sehingga kotoran
yang ada di dalamnya dapat keluar.
7. Mewudhukan jenazah, sebagaimana wudhu akan shalat setelah semuanya bersih.
8. Terakhir disirami dengan larutan kapur barus dan harum-haruman.
Sidr (bidara): jika dikucek maka akan keluar buih/busanya; berfungsi (sebagai shampo) untuk menetralisir bau (setelah
2 jam dari kematian, maka mayat sudah memulai proses pembusukan)

Mengafani jenazah adalah menutupi atau membungkus jenazah dengan sesuatu yang dapat menutupi tubuhnya, walau
hanya sehelai kain dari ujung rambut sampai ujung kaki, meskipun para fuqaha (ahli fiqh), memilahnya antara batas
minimal dan batas sempurna.
Kain kafan yang dipergunakan hendaknya berwarna putih dan diberi wewangian, bila mengkafani lebih dari ketentuan
batas, maka hukumnya makruh, sebab dianggap berlebihan.
Batas minimal mengafani jenazah, baik laki-laki maupun perempuan, adalah selembar kain yang dapat menutupi seluruh
tubuh jenazah, sedangkan batas sempurna bagi jenazah laki-laki adalah 3 lapis kain kafan.
Sementara, untuk jenazah perempuan adalah 5 lapis: terdiri 2 lapis kain kafan, ditambah kerudung, baju kurung dan kain.
Hal-hal yang Disunnahkan dalam Mengkafani Jenazah :
1. Kain kafan yang digunakan hendaknya kain kafan yang bagus, bersih dan menutupi seluruh tubuh jenazah,
2. Kain kafan hendaknya berwarna putih,
3. Jumlah kain kafan untuk jenazah laki-laki hendaknya 3 (tiga) lapis, sedangkan bagi jenazah perempuan 5 (lima) lapis.
Beberapa Hal yang Perlu Diperhatikan dalam Mengkafani Jenazah:
1. Kain kafan diperoleh dengan cara halal, yakni dari harta peninggalan jenazah, ahli waris, atau diambil dari baitul mal
(jika tersedia), atau dibebankan kepada orang Islam yang mampu,
2. Kain kafan hendaknya bersih, berwarna putih dan sederhana (tidak terlalu mahal dan tidak terlalu murah).

Tata Cara Mengafani Jenazah Laki-laki:
1. Bentangkan kain kafan sehelai demi helai, yang paling bawah lebih lebar dan luas serta setiap lapisan diberi
kapur barus,
2. Angkatlah jenazah dalam keadaan tertutup dengan kain dan letakkan di atas kain kafan memanjang lalu
ditaburi wangi-wangian,
3. Tutuplah lubang-lubang (hidung, telinga, mulut, qubul dan dubur) yang mungkin masih mengeluarkan
kotoran dengan kapas,
4. Selimutkan kain kafan sebelah kanan yang paling atas, kemudian ujung lembar sebelah kiri. Selanjutnya,
lakukan seperti tersebut selembar demi lembar dengan cara yang lembut,
5. Ikatlah dengan tali yang sudah disiapkan sebelumnya di bawah kain kafan 3 (tiga) atau 5 (lima) ikatan,
6. Jika kain kafan tidak cukup menutupi seluruh badan jenazah, tutuplah bagian kepalanya, dan bagian kakinya
boleh terbuka, namun tutup dengan daun kayu, rumput atau kertas. Jika tidak ada kain kafan, kecuali sekadar
menutup aurat, tutuplah dengan apa saja yang ada.

Ketentuan Kain Kafan Jenazah Perempuan:
Terdiri dari 5 (lima) lembar kain, urutannya sebagai berikut:
1. Lembar 1 untuk menutupi seluruh badan,

3. Lembar 3 sebagai baju kurung,
4. Lembar 4 menutup pinggang hingga kaki,
5. Lembar 5 menutup pinggul dan paha.
Adapun tata cara mengkafani jenazah perempuan adalah sebagai berikut:
1. Susun kain kafan yang sudah dipotong-potong untuk masing-masing bagian dengan tertib. Lalu, angkatlah
jenazah dalam keadaan tertutup dengan kain dan letakkan di atas kain kafan sejajar, serta taburi dengan
wangi-wangian atau dengan kapur barus,

Pihak yang paling utama menshalatkan jenazah:
1. Orang yang diwasiatkan oleh si jenazah dengan syarat tidak fasik atau tidak ahli bid’ah,
2. Ulama atau pemimpin terkemuka di tempat tinggal jenazah,
3. Orang tua si jenazah dan seterusnya ke atas,
4. Anak-anak si jenazah dan seterusnya ke bawah,
5. Keluarga terdekat, dan

Syarat Shalat Jenazah:
1. Suci dari hadats besar dan kecil, suci badan dan tempat dari najis, menutup aurat dan menghadap kiblat.
2. Jika jenazah laki-laki, posisi imam berdiri sejajar dengan kepalanya, jenazah perempuan, posisi berdirinya
sejajar dengan perutnya,
3. Jenazah diletakkan di arah kiblat orang yang menyalatkan, kecuali shalat di atas kubur atau shalat gaib.

Sunat Shalat Jenazah
1. Mengangkat tangan setiap kali takbir.
2. Merendahkan suara bacaan (sirr), seperti bacaan pada Shalat Dzuhur atau Ashar.

4. Disunatkan banyak jama’ahnya (makmum), minimal 3 shaf (jika tempatnya memungkinkan, tetapi jika tidak

Tata cara pelaksanaan shalat jenazah adalah sebagai berikut:
Jenazah diletakkan di depan jamaah. Jika mayat laki-laki, imam berdiri di dekat kepala jenazah. Jika mayat
perempuan imam berdiri di dekat perut jenazah.
Imam berdiri paling depan diikuti oleh makmum, jika yang menshalati sedikit, usahakan dibuat 3
baris/shaf.
Mula-mula semua jamaah berdiri dengan berniat melakukan shalat jenazah dengan empat takbir.
Niat; ada yang dibaca dalam hati, ada yang dilafalkan. Apabila dilafalkan, maka bacannya sebagai berikut:
“Aku berniat shalat atas jenazah ini empat takbir fardu kifayah sebagai makmum karena Allah ta’ala.”
Kemudian Takbir pertama (Takbiratul Ihram), dan selanjutnya membaca surat al-Fatihah.
Takbir yang kedua, dan selanjutnya, membaca salawat atas Nabi Muhammad saw.:
“Ya Allah, limpahkanlah shalawat pada Nabi Muhammad saw. dan keluarga Nabi Muhammad saw.”

Takbir yang ketiga, kemudian membaca doa untuk jenazah. Bacaan doa bagi jenazah adalah sebagai
berikut:
“Ya Allah, ampunilah ia, kasihanilah ia, sejahterakanlah ia, maafkanlah kesalahannya.”
Takbir yang keempat, dilanjutkan dengan membaca doa sebagai berikut:
“Ya Allah, janganlah Engkau menjadikan kami penghalang dari mendapatkan pahalanya dan janganlah engkau
beri kami fitnah sepeninggalnya, dan ampunilah kami dan dia.” (H.R. Hakim)
Membaca salam sambil menoleh ke kanan dan ke kiri.

Sunnah menguburkan:
1. Menyegerakan mengusung/membawa jenazah ke pemakaman, tanpa harus tergesa-gesa.
2. Pengiring tidak dibenarkan duduk, sebelum jenazah diletakkan.
3. Disunnahkan menggali kubur secara mendalam agar jasad jenazah terjaga dari jangkauan binatang buas,
atau agar baunya tidak merebak keluar.
4. Lubang kubur yang dilengkapi liang lahat (jenazah muslim), bukan syaq (jenazah non muslim). Syaq adalah
liang yang dibuat khusus di dasar kubur pada bagian tengahnya. Berikut ini bentuk dari keduanya:

Tata cara menguburkan:
1. Waktunya Menguburkan jenazah boleh kapan saja, namun ada 3 waktu yang sebaiknya dihindari, yakni:
Matahari baru saja terbit, tunggu sampai meninggi.
Matahari saat berada di tengah-tengah (saat panas terik yang menyengat/saat waktu dzuhur tiba), sampai
condong ke barat.
Saat matahari hampir terbenam, hingga ia terbenam sempurna.
2. Urutan dan tahapannya:
Jenazah diangkat untuk diletakkan di dalam kubur. Lakukan secara perlahan.
Jenazah dimasukkan ke dalam kubur, dimulai dari kepala terlebih dahulu dan dilakukan lewat arah kaki. Jika
tidak memungkinkan, boleh menurunkannya dari arah kiblat.
Di dalam liang lahat, jenazah diletakkan dalam posisi miring di atas lambung kanan bagian bawah, dan
menghadap kiblat.
Pipi dan kaki jenazah supaya ditempelkan ke tanah dengan membuka kain kafannya. Begitu pula tali-tali
pengikat dilepas.
Waktu menurunkan jenazah ke liang lahat, hendaknya membaca doa sebagai berikut:
“Dengan (menyebut) nama Allah dan berdasarkan millah (ajaran, tuntunan) Rasulullah”.

Setelah jenazah diletakkan di dalam rongga liang lahat, dan tali-temali selain kepala dan kaki dilepas, maka
rongga liang lahat tersebut ditutup dengan papan kayu/bambu dari atasnya (agak menyamping).
Setelah itu, keluarga terdekat memulai menimbun kubur dengan memasukkan 3 genggaman tanah, yang
dilanjutkan penimbunan sampai selesai.
Hendaklah meninggikan makam kira-kira sejengkal, sebagai tanda agar tidak dilanggar kehormatannya.
Kemudian ditaburi dengan bunga sebagai tanda sebuah makam dan diperciki air yang harum dan wangi
Setelah selesai penguburan diakhiri dengan doa yang isinya, antara lain memohon: ampunan, rahmat,
keselamatan, dan keteguhan (dalam menjawab beberapa pertanyaan dari malaikat Munkar dan Nakir)

Makna Ta’ziah adalah menghibur, yaitu mengunjungi dan menghibur keluarga yang ditinggalkan sebelum
jenazah dikuburkan atau dalam waktu tiga hari sesudahnya.
Sebagai bagian dari kepedulian sosial dan ikhtiar mempererat tali persaudaraan, maka semestinya jika ada
keluarga, tetangga, teman dan karib kerabat yang terkena musibah atau meninggal, kita melakukan ta’ziah.
Tujuan ta’ziah adalah sebagai berikut:
a) Memberikan bantuan moril dan materil untuk mengurangi kesulitan dan kesedihan bagi ahli keluarga yang
ditinggalkan.
b) Menemani, ikut bersimpati dan berempati, memberi juga hiburan dan nasehat, agar ahli keluarga yang
ditinggalkan menerima musibah ini dengan sabar dan tabah.
c) Mendoakan yang meninggal agar diampuni segala khilaf dan salah, dilimpahkan segala rahmat,
mendapatkan nikmat kubur, dan diteguhkan dalam menjawab pertanyaan-pertanyaan malaikat Munkar dan
Nakir, serta segala cita dan harapan yang lain.
d) Menjadikan sebagai ibrah (pelajaran) bersama, muhasabah diri (introspeksi diri), bahwa setiap yang
bernyawa pasti akan merasakan mati (Q.S. Ali Imrān/3: 185).

Kematian mengajarkan banyak hal, agar setiap manusia menyadari bahwa cepat atau lambat, kematian itu
pasti datang. Misalnya anjuran untuk ziarah kubur.
Melalui kegiatan ini, setiap muslim dapat mengunjungi kuburan ahli kuburnya, atau kaum muslim dengan
tujuan dapat melihat, membersihkan kuburan, dan mendoakan ahli kubur.
Manfaat lain dari ziarah kubur juga didapat dari peziarah, antara lain: mengingatkan diri sendiri, bahwa
suatu saat dirinya akan dijemput kematian; melembutkan hati, agar tidak sombong dan menolak kebenaran;
membiasakan meneteskan air mata, karena hidupnya banyak khilaf dan salah; serta setiap manusia akan
mempertanggungjawabkan segala perilakunya di akhirat kelak. Rasulullah saw. bersabda:
“Aku pernah melarang kalian ziarah kubur. Sekarang lakukanlah, karena ia bisa melembutkan hati, meneteskan
air mata, mengingatkan tentang akhirat, dan jangan berkata jorok.” (H.R. al-Hakīm)

Saat ziarah kubur pun ada adab atau tata caranya, antara lain saat masuk di pintu gerbang kuburan,
dianjurkan berdoa, yaitu:
“Selamat sejahtera wahai kaum muslimin dan muslimat (yang ada di kubur), kami insya Allah akan menyusul
kamu. Kami memohon kepada Allah Swt. semoga kami dan kamu mendapatkan pembersihan dari dosa dan
keselamatan.” (H.R. Muslim)
Saat melewati atau melihat kuburan, maka (menoleh/menghadap padanya) dianjurkan berdoa:
“Selamat sejahtera wahai penghuni rumah/tempat ini, kami memohon kepada Allah Swt. keselamatan bagi kamu
juga bagi kami.”

Meningkatkan kesadaran bahwa hidup di dunia adalah fana’ dan sementara,
Menambahkan semangat beribadah memperbanyak amal kebaikan selagi masih hidup (belum mati),
Gemar mensucikan diri sebelum disucikan/dimandikan,
Menggugah kesadaran untuk menutup aurat (berjilbab), sebelum ditutup dengan kain kafan (dijilbabi),
Baju/pakaian luar (termasuk kedudukan/jabatan) bukanlah hal utama, melainkan apa yang ditutupi yaitu
hati/iman, karena ketika mati semua sama menggunakan kain kafan berwarna putih,
Menjaga shalat lima waktu sebelum dishalatkan (shalatlah sebelum dishalatkan),
Menyadarkan diri bahwa manusia diciptakan dari tanah dan akan kembali menjadi tanah,
Menggugah kesadaran untuk segera menggunakan apa yang dimiliki (harta benda, dsb.) di jalan kebaikan,
karena kalua jasad sudah dikubur maka semuanya tidak akan dibawa mati/dikubur.
