A Peace Corps volunteer in Macedonia is working with his community to replace the 40-year-old deteriorating blackboards in a local elementary school. Funds for the project will come from both the community and the Peace Corps Partnership Program. The volunteer says that the old blackboards make it difficult for students to see and for teachers to teach effectively. Once completed, the project will also create a new English classroom and provide the school with its first "SMART board". Municipal officials support the effort and will work with the school on the blackboard replacement.
