allows students to connect and
understand not only the world they are
apart of, though themselves as human
beings. This is to ensure not only
physical development, though
emotional and mental development.
3. Many parents disregard PDHPE as a unit of
study due to preconceived ideologies
(including assuming PDHPE is purely based
on game playing). A greater emphasis on the
importance of PDHPE as well as the outcomes
that are actually taught, can help allow parents
to understand the thought developments their
children experience when engaged in the unit.
PDHPE ultimately creates a stepping stone
into a positive future for their children, so
greater awareness is necessary to support the
unit.

and interactive at school it creates
a pattern of behaviour that may
advance into the future and
contribute to a better quality of life.

life lessons to children that may not
be able to be taught in a classroom
including good sportsmanship.

discuss personal and social issues that are relevant
to an individuals development. By providing a unit of
education such as PDHPE, that focuses purely on
issues that govern our every day lives, we can

development is transpiring the relevant knowledge
taught to them through each experience and stage
of their lives. This not only assists an individual
comprehend what may lie ahead, it also provides a
