PEERS®
SOCIAL SKILLS GROUP FOR YOUNG ADULTS
(AGES 18-28)
PEERS® for young adults?
PEERS® for young adults is a 16-week group for young adults (ages 18-28) who
are motivated to make and keep friends. Young adults learn how to use
appropriate conversational skills and handle conflict and rejection; how to have
appropriate get-togethers with friends and deal with issues related to dating and
relationships. Young adults are encouraged to attend every session with a person
who can act as a social coach (e.g., parent, sibling, job coach, peer mentor, etc.)
to the young adult. The social coach will simultaneously learn the same skills so
that he or she can better support the young adult in applying these skills to his or
her daily life.
When & Where?
Group will be starting in February 2017 and will be held on Tuesday afternoons in
Greenwich, Connecticut.
For enrollment information, please contact Karina G. Campos, Psy.D. (a
certified PEERS® provider) at: (475) 328 -0279;
karina@drkarinagcampos.com.
