The Art of the SandwichThe following presentation will explain how to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. After this tutorial you will know how to make a basic peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
One (1) Loaf a bread of your choiceOne (1) Jar of Peanut Butter of your choiceOne (1) Jar of Jelly or Jam of your choiceOne (1) Butter KnifeOne (1) Plate Optional: NapkinsIngredients and Supplies
Peanut Butter and Jelly SandwichOpen the loaf of bread by removing the twist tie from the bagRemove two (2) slices of bread, place slices on plateReplace the twist tie to seal the bread bagSelect the jar of Peanut ButterOpen the jar of peanut butter by holding the jar in one hand, grasp the lid withthe other hand and rotate the lid in a counter clockwise direction. Place lid aside.
Peanut ButterPick up the knifeInserting the knife into the jar of Peanut Butter, get a portion of peanut butter on the knifeSelect one piece of bread Spread the peanut butter that is on the knife on to the slice of bread selected
Peanut ButterIf needed, repeat the  previous 2 steps until enough peanut butter is evenly spread on the breadClean your butter knife on the inside of the jar of peanut butter to remove any excess peanut butter remaining on the knifeReplace the lid on the jar of peanut butter
JellySelect the jar of jellyOpen the jar of jelly by holding the jar in one hand grasp the lid withthe other hand and rotate the lid in a counter clockwise directionSelect the knife, insert into the jar of jelly, get a small portion of jelly on the knifeSpread the jelly that is on the knife on to the other slice of bread
JellyIf needed, repeat previous two steps until enough jelly is evenly spread on the breadClean your butter knife on the inside of the jar of jelly to remove any excess jelly remaining on the knife. Replace the lid on the jar of jelly
Put It All TogetherPick up a piece of bread in each hand and put the slices together, peanut butter and jelly sides inside and place the sandwich on a plateWith the knife, make a diagonal cut from one corner at the top of the bread to the opposite corner on the bottom of the bread

VariationsFeel free to experiment. There are many different kinds of breads, nut butters, and preserves that can be incorporated into your Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich.
