Project Summary:
AT&T Wi-Fi Services (AWS) provides enterprise Wi-Fi solution to venues like hotels, stadiums, restaurants, etc.
This project involves software development, testing and regression of various features across different releases
for the Network Management Device (NMD) and other servers in the solution. The features include Analytics,
multi-venue management, High Availability, Software Upgrade Management, content filtering, Quality of Service,
etc. The project involves requirements analysis, proof of concept, detailed design, implementation, build, testing,
regression and support. The system will be developed in multiple releases using a mix of waterfall and agile
development methodologies.
Project Experience:
 Proof of concepts on open source products/packages like Nxlog, logstash, apache Kafka, storm,
Ulogd.
 Development of debian package on the storm framework with customized spouts and bolts in JAVA built
using the standard storm libraries/classes and AWS libraries/classes as a new process to handle the
different data streams processed by Kafka and performing data manipulations before handing over to the
analytics servers.
 Development of Topics in Kafka, to support the data streams that are collected from the venues. Coding in
JAVA.
 Developed a Health check package in JAVA to monitor the all process on the central server, which would
display the result to a GUI easing the task of checking the status of each process.
 Packaging of Kafka, Nxlog and storm in AWS-debian standards.
 Configuring the Nxlog for real time data collection and forwarding to a central server.
 Enhancing the Nxlog configuration to handle Socket mode of data collection over the traditional file mode
 Creating a Central sever with Kafka-cat , Kafka and storm process running on it, This Server serves the
purpose of processing, filtering and customizing the records from NMDs in a specific format that is fed to
the Analytics severs like Hadoop, Retail Next, Splunk.
 Enhancement of Ulogd code to capture DNS records from the guest browse and also to handle records of
POST HTTP requests along with GET in C++.

Project Summary:
Wireless Backup Unit deals with having a wireless modem at a venue, which is a backup circuit in the event that
the primary circuit fails or becomes saturated. The work involves monitoring the Network Management Device
(NMD) for its normal functioning and in case of circuit fail or congestion the setup has to switch over to the WBU.
This project follows the agile model of development.
Project Experience:
 Cradlepoint configuration, The WBU used is a cradle point with two SIMS. One primary SIM while the other
would be a backup SIM. To leverage this functioning, the Cradlepoint had to be configured on the NMD.
 The event monitoring programming in C++ to check for the failover, overload, loss of connectivity on the
primary circuit, in case of crisis the secondary unit i.e. WBU to start functioning as the primary.
 A GUI is designed to ease the monitoring, the GUI invokes a web server (AWS APOLLO WEB SERVICE)
through a Soap request to execute the test-cases present in the Apollo repository. The server executes the
required tests/monitoring modules and displays the output on a GUI.

Project Summary:
Venue Profile Management, is a UI used by AWS to configure the Network Management Device (NMD)
remotely. This application is used to modify the venue settings for the device. This application is a PHP based which
interacts with Oracle at the back end.
Project Experience:
 As part of this project, Work involved enhancing the VPM UI to accommodate the venue
configurations required for the features that were developed recent.
 Additional functionality added on the VPM: Network device configuration, Venue billing configuration,
Configuring new app for the venues.
 Working with advanced search mechanisms to look up venue data from the Oracle.
Responsibilities:
 Maintenance and Enhancement of the UI.
 Enhancement included inclusion to capture the new fields for the newly developed features in AWS.
Client: Allstate
Environment/Tools: HP Exstream, Adobe LiveCycle.

Project Summary:
Project involves using HP Exstream as the document-composition and management tool in order to automate the
process of creating and managing the policy bills and policy pages for the insurance customers, and to deliver
them both electronically and via post to the customers.
Responsibilities:
 Creating the layouts of the documents (policy pages, bills, applications etc.) and automating the process of
fetching the customer data from database, populating the pages and providing the details of the output
queue (related printing station) HP Exstream tool.
 Involved in Requirements Gathering,

 Worked with Abode LiveCycle, for migrating the systems from Exstream to Adobe LC.

Aetna Summary of Benefit and Coverage (SBC). Under the Affordable Care Act law, insurance companies and
group health plans were to provide consumers with a concise document detailing, in plain language, simple and
consistent information about health plan benefits and coverage. This summary of benefits and coverage
document would help consumers better understand the coverage they have.
Responsibilities:
 Generate Aetna Summary of Benefit and Coverage (SBC) report for a company with a small group of
employees.
 Validating the information in SBC reports with the database.

Project Experience:  Proof of concepts on open source products/packages like Nxlog, logstash, apache Kafka, storm, Ulogd.  Development of debian package on the storm framework with customized spouts and bolts in JAVA built using the standard storm libraries/classes and AWS libraries/classes as a new process to handle the different data streams processed by Kafka and performing data manipulations before handing over to the analytics servers.  Development of Topics in Kafka, to support the data streams that are collected from the venues. Coding in JAVA.  Developed a Health check package in JAVA to monitor the all process on the central server, which would display the result to a GUI easing the task of checking the status of each process.  Packaging of Kafka, Nxlog and storm in AWS-debian standards.  Configuring the Nxlog for real time data collection and forwarding to a central server.  Enhancing the Nxlog configuration to handle Socket mode of data collection over the traditional file mode  Creating a Central sever with Kafka-cat , Kafka and storm process running on it, This Server serves the purpose of processing, filtering and customizing the records from NMDs in a specific format that is fed to the Analytics severs like Hadoop, Retail Next, Splunk.  Enhancement of Ulogd code to capture DNS records from the guest browse and also to handle records of POST HTTP requests along with GET in C++. Total Team Strength: 4 Project Summary: Wireless Backup Unit deals with having a wireless modem at a venue, which is a backup circuit in the event that the primary circuit fails or becomes saturated. The work involves monitoring the Network Management Device (NMD) for its normal functioning and in case of circuit fail or congestion the setup has to switch over to the WBU. This project follows the agile model of development. Project Experience:  Cradlepoint configuration, The WBU used is a cradle point with two SIMS. One primary SIM while the other would be a backup SIM. To leverage this functioning, the Cradlepoint had to be configured on the NMD.  The event monitoring programming in C++ to check for the failover, overload, loss of connectivity on the primary circuit, in case of crisis the secondary unit i.e. WBU to start functioning as the primary.  A GUI is designed to ease the monitoring, the GUI invokes a web server (AWS APOLLO WEB SERVICE) through a Soap request to execute the test-cases present in the Apollo repository. The server executes the required tests/monitoring modules and displays the output on a GUI. Total Team Strength: 3 Project Summary: Venue Profile Management, is a UI used by AWS to configure the Network Management Device (NMD) remotely. This application is used to modify the venue settings for the device. This application is a PHP based which interacts with Oracle at the back end. Project Experience:  As part of this project, Work involved enhancing the VPM UI to accommodate the venue configurations required for the features that were developed recent.  Additional functionality added on the VPM: Network device configuration, Venue billing configuration, Configuring new app for the venues.  Working with advanced search mechanisms to look up venue data from the Oracle. Responsibilities:  Maintenance and Enhancement of the UI.  Enhancement included inclusion to capture the new fields for the newly developed features in AWS. Total Team Strength: 2 Project Summary: Project involves using HP Exstream as the document-composition and management tool in order to automate the process of creating and managing the policy bills and policy pages for the insurance customers, and to deliver them both electronically and via post to the customers. Under the Affordable Care Act law, insurance companies and group health plans were to provide consumers with a concise document detailing, in plain language, simple and consistent information about health plan benefits and coverage. This summary of benefits and coverage document would help consumers better understand the coverage they have.
