hard-earned Medicare benefits. Erik Paulsen voted against over $500 billion in cuts to Medicare to pay for the
President’s new health care law.
Protecting Medicare for Future Generations
Erik Paulsen is striving to make sure that Medicare remains strong for today and tomorrow. Each year
Medicare loses tens of billions of dollars to waste, fraud and abuse. To address these losses, Erik became a
co-sponsor of the “Preventing and Reducing Improper Medicare and Medicaid Expenditures Act” (or PRIME,
H.R. 2305). The PRIME Act is bipartisan legislation that will enact stronger penalties for Medicare fraud,
prevent overpayments and billing errors and outlaws the fraudulent purchase or distribution of Medicare ID
numbers.The PRIME Act will save taxpayer dollars without changing Medicare benefits or coverage.
