I also featured a popular teen artist looking directly at the audience to increase appeal. Bright colors were used throughout to grab teens' attention, and the cover lines advertised new music genres that would interest them.

I have learned and improved significantly in my skills using Photoshop and other design software from my preliminary magazine task to the final music magazine. The final magazine has a better layout, more professional design elements like relevant coverlines in different fonts, and inclusion of magazine codes and conventions. It also has more developed content like captions, columns and a double page spread. Overall, I gained confidence in using tools like QuarkExpress and can now design materials that look more polished and professional.
