“ FREDERIC CHOPIN “

“ THE DEW SPARKLES “

Droplets of dew sparkle,
A spring whispers in the open field;
Hidden in heather,
Somewhere a heifer's bell rings.
Pretty gentle open field
Picture views form happily,
All around, flowers release fragrance,
And bushes bloom.
Graze and wander, my little herd,
I sit by a rock,
A sweet song that I like
I'll sing for myself.
A pleasant quiet abandonded place!
Yet some regrets wander in my mind,
my heart mourns,
and a tear forms in my eye.
The tear escapes my eye,
Within me sings a stream,
To me from above,
A skylark responds.
His wings he spreads,
Barely visible to the eye,
Higher, higer...
Lost already among the clouds.
Above prairies and fields he flies,
Still singing his song;
And the song from the ground
He takes up into the sky!

“ TAKE CARE PRETTY GIRL “
Take care, pretty girl; be careful!
You are laughing so much
You're spilling wine all down my coat!
I'll not forgive you! I'll make you pay;
I'll kiss you till I'm exhausted!
Ah, those shining eyes, and those divine lips
set my blood afire!
Come now, moody one,
Let all this brooding go to the devil!
Drink, don't waste time, my boy,
For this sorry world already has its fill of woe.
So what if you can barely walk.
What's the disgrace in that?
When your wife shouts you'll won't hear her;
You'll be out cold on the floor!
Drink down or feel my fist.
Hey, lass, over here!
Just serve us. Don't entice us.
Pour us some beer!

“ GOT NOT , HAPPY DAY “
Go not, happy day,
Blush it thro' the West.
Rosy is the West,
Rosy is the South,
Roses are her cheeks,
And a rose her mouth.
From the shining fields,
Go not, happy day,
Till the maiden yields.
Rosy is the West,
Rosy is the South,
Roses are her cheeks,
And a rose her mouth.
When the happy Yes
Falters from her lips,
Pass and blush the news
Over glowing ships;
Over blowing seas,
Over seas at rest,
Pass the happy news,
Blush it thro' the West;
[ Till the red man dance
By his red cedar-tree,
And the red man's babe
Leap, beyond the sea.]1
Blush from West to East,
Blush from East to West,
Till the West is East,
Blush it thro' the West.
Rosy is the West,
Rosy is the South,
Roses are her cheeks,
And a rose her mouth.
Blush it thro' the West.

“ AM RHEIN , IM SCHONEN STROME “
[Im]1 Rhein, [im]1 [schönen]2 Strome,
Da spiegelt sich in den [Well'n]3
Mit seinem großen Dome
Das [große, heil'ge]4 Köln.
Im Dom da steht ein Bildnis,
Auf [goldnem Leder]5 gemalt;
In meines Lebens Wildnis
Hat's freundlich [hineingestrahlt]6.
Es schweben Blumen und Eng'lein
Um unsre liebe Frau;
Die Augen, die Lippen, die Wänglein,
Die gleichen der Liebsten genau.

“ LULLABY AND GOODNIGHT “

Lullaby, and good night,
With pink roses bedight,
With lilies o'erspread,
Is my baby's sweet head.
Lay you down now, and rest,
May your slumber be blessed!
Lay you down now, and rest,
May thy slumber be blessed!
Lullaby, and good night,
You're your mother's delight,
Shining angels beside
My darling abide.
Soft and warm is your bed,
Close your eyes and rest your head.
Soft and warm is your bed,
Close your eyes and rest your head.
Sleepyhead, close your eyes.
Mother's right here beside you.
I'll protect you from harm,
You will wake in my arms.
Guardian angels are near,
So sleep on, with no fear.
Guardian angels are near,
So sleep on, with no fear.
Lullaby, and sleep tight.
Hush! My darling is sleeping,
On his sheets white as cream,
With his head full of dreams.
When the sky's bright with dawn,
He will wake in the morning.
When noontide warms the world,
He will frolic in the sun.

“ NONE BUT THE LONELY HEART “

None but the lonely heart
Can know my sadness
Alone and parted
Far from joy and gladness
Heaven's boundless arch I see
Spread out above me
O(h) what a distance drear to one
Who loves me
None but the lonely heart
Can know my sadness
Alone and parted
Far from joy and gladness
Alone and parted far
From joy and gladness
My senses fail
A burning fire
Devours me
None but the lonely heart
Can know my sadness

None but the lonely heartCan know my sadnessAlone and partedFar
from joy and gladnessHeaven’s boundless arch I seeSpread about

“ ROMEO AND JULIET “

Romeo and Juliet can know my sadness
Alone and the parted, far from joy and gladness
Heaven's boundless arch I see, spread out above me
Oh what a distance dear to one who loves me
None but the lonely heart can know my sadness
Alone and parted, far from joy and gladness
Alone and parted, far from joy and gladness
My senses fail, a burning fire devours me
Romeo and Juliet can know my sadness
And my happiness of my life with romeo and Juliet gives
Full of energy from anything .
