In this workshop participants chose an aspect to prototype and tried out a few prototyping methods. Following the prototyping, participants used journey maps to understand and test how their persona would be influenced by the new prototype.

Dr. Wang Hao holds a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Cologne, Germany and is currently the Director of the Research Institute of Social Enterprise of Feng Chia University. After the 921 Earthquake, he submitted an article to the Der Spiegel Weekly in Germany, which kicked off his advocacy for social innovation and corporate responsibility in the next 20 years. Wang served as an EMBA supervisor, Consultant at the Credit Union League and the Taiwan Fund for Children and Families, Director of B Corporation, and a team leader at a Youth Development Administration’s international group and a social enterprise delegation to Germany. Wang participated in and hosted the APEC Renewable Energy Innovation Project Competition. He believes that interdisciplinary learning to be the key to social innovation. Wang mentioned the happiest experience in his life as hiking the Peruvian plateau to interview Inca herders, for purpose of conducting a series of social enterprise MOOCs sponsored by the Ministry of Education.

Part of Beijing Design Week, the design fair showcases international as well as local design brands at the National Agricultural Exhibition Centre and is attended by local built environment professionals.

Over the course of my career, I’ve sat on a number of small-company boards. Looking back, it would have been nice if the managing directors had a baseline dashboard they could riff off of so as not to waste so much time on dash boarding.
So the purpose of this document is to offer a baseline template dashboard that a start-up firm could use to update the board of directors. All the data would need to be filled in with real data, of course. And, the dashboard would have to be customized to meet the reporting requirements and operational uniqueness of the business. That said, baselines can save time and spark thought-threads.
Remember that reporting should be for the sake of strategic enlightenment and to drive transparent discussions, and not for the sake of reporting.
If anyone out there has some additional points of data they use effectively in their small-business management reporting , I’d love to hear about it!
