Pass report from the Alameda County of Registrar's office showing the RCV vote redistributions in the 2014 Oakland mayoral race. After 15 rounds of RCV eliminations, Libby Schaaf emerged as the winner getting 63.2% of the non-exhausted ballots in the race. Rebecca Kaplan cam in second with 36.8% of the vote. Incimbent Mayor Jean Quan came in third, being eliminated in the 15th RCV elimination round.
Preliminary Ranked-Choice Voting results from the Alameda County of Registrar of Voters on the 2014 Oakland Mayoral race.
These are unofficial and incomplete results released November 5, 2014. They do not factor in a considerable number of vote-by-mail ballots turned in at polling locations on Election Day. The ROV has stated that updated reults will be released late in the day on Thursday, November 6th.
Oakland Chamber of Commerce 2014 Mayoral PollOakMayor2014
The document summarizes the results of a voter survey conducted in October 2014 by the Oakland Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce. Some key findings from the survey include:
- Most voters feel Oakland's economy and quality of life are improving, though ratings of city leadership remain weak. Schools, safety, and jobs are top concerns.
- In the mayoral election, 21% of voters are undecided and 34% have not allocated all three choices. Incumbent Mayor Quan has high unfavorability despite an improving city outlook.
- Voters strongly support making it easier for businesses and want the city to prioritize local businesses over national chains. Neighborhood stores and jobs are top economic priorities.
This document is a campaign finance form for an officeholder or candidate who anticipates receiving and spending less than $1,000 during the calendar year. OakMayor2014.com Oakland Mayoral and City Council Poll CrosstabsOakMayor2014
Crosstabs of the Oakland mayor and city council poll commissioned by OakMayor2014.com and conducted by FM3 Research.
FM3 completed 1,012 telephone interviews with likely November 2014 voters in the City of Oakland
• Interviews were conducted September 8-14, 2014
• Interviews conducted on landlines and cell phones
• Interviews conducted in English, Spanish and Chinese (both Cantonese and Mandarin)
712 interviews were conducted citywide
An additional 300 interviews were conducted in the 2nd, 4th and 6th City Council Districts, yielding the following total number of interviews in each District:
• 209 in City Council District 2
• 206 in City Council District 4
• 211 in City Council District 6
Margin of sampling error of +/-3.7% for the citywide results
Margin of sampling error of +/-6.9% for the City Council District results
Due to rounding, not all percentages sum to 100%
• Names and ballot designations for all certified candidates in each race were read to respondents.
• The candidates were read in random order.
• Respondents were asked for their first, second and third choices.
• To model ranked-choice voting, undecided voters were eliminated. Supporters of the lowest-ranked candidate were re-allocated based on their second-and third-choice preferences. The process was repeated until a candidate reached majority support.

Combined Illegal, Unregulated and Unreported (IUU) Vessel List.Christina Parmionova
The best available, up-to-date information on all fishing and related vessels that appear on the illegal, unregulated, and unreported (IUU) fishing vessel lists published by Regional Fisheries Management Organisations (RFMOs) and related organisations. The aim of the site is to improve the effectiveness of the original IUU lists as a tool for a wide variety of stakeholders to better understand and combat illegal fishing and broader fisheries crime.
To date, the following regional organisations maintain or share lists of vessels that have been found to carry out or support IUU fishing within their own or adjacent convention areas and/or species of competence:
Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR)
Commission for the Conservation of Southern Bluefin Tuna (CCSBT)
General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM)
Inter-American Tropical Tuna Commission (IATTC)
International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT)
Indian Ocean Tuna Commission (IOTC)
Northwest Atlantic Fisheries Organisation (NAFO)
North East Atlantic Fisheries Commission (NEAFC)
North Pacific Fisheries Commission (NPFC)
South East Atlantic Fisheries Organisation (SEAFO)
South Pacific Regional Fisheries Management Organisation (SPRFMO)
Southern Indian Ocean Fisheries Agreement (SIOFA)
Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission (WCPFC)
The Combined IUU Fishing Vessel List merges all these sources into one list that provides a single reference point to identify whether a vessel is currently IUU listed. Vessels that have been IUU listed in the past and subsequently delisted (for example because of a change in ownership, or because the vessel is no longer in service) are also retained on the site, so that the site contains a full historic record of IUU listed fishing vessels.
Unlike the IUU lists published on individual RFMO websites, which may update vessel details infrequently or not at all, the Combined IUU Fishing Vessel List is kept up to date with the best available information regarding changes to vessel identity, flag state, ownership, location, and operations.
