This document compares the characters of Hamlet from Shakespeare's play and Haider from the film with the same name. Both protagonists are princes - Hamlet of Denmark and Haider of Islamabad - whose fathers were killed by their uncles. They seek revenge against their uncles for their fathers' deaths and are distraught by their mothers' quick remarriages. Hamlet loves Ophelia while Haider loves Arshia, but both lose their loves. They accidentally kill other characters and go into shock after seeing their loves die.
