This suggests that the natural and corresponding counterpart always needs to fight for its self-preservation among characters’ perceptions and within settings.
The philosophy mirrors the mechanical characteristics of industrialisation and hence expresses the great importance of mechanical perceptions such as objective utilitarianism and factual statistics.
Importance
i. Hard Times has also been described as a novel which asks most clearly to be read not as a mere fictional world but as a commentary on 4 a contemporary crisis ii. The novel is therefore not only supposed to be a pleasant and entertaining read.
iii. It is a work of fiction which contains a serious depth and has an underlying gravity which is important to be aware of.
iv. It is both criticism of industrialism and an attempt to raise awareness among people about how they think.

Johnathan Swift and his Work
Jonathan Swift was an 18th century Anglo-Irish writer best known for his novel Gulliver's Travels. The novel, published anonymously in 1726, follows the voyages of Lemuel Gulliver and satirizes human nature and politics through encounters with tiny Lilliputians and giants. Through these imaginary lands and peoples, Swift satirizes 18th century European society, politics, science, philosophy and religion. The work is considered a classic work of English literature and a masterpiece of satire.
Biography of lord byron
Lord Byron was one of the greatest British poets known for his amorous lifestyle and use of language. He was born in 1788 with a clubbed foot to an emotionally unstable mother. Byron excelled in school and began writing poetry. His first published work received criticism which inspired his satirical response. He embarked on a grand tour where he began his famous work "Childe Harold's Pilgrimage." Byron had several love affairs which inspired dark poems and eventually married and had a daughter, though the marriage ended quickly. He left England in 1816 due to rumors and debts and supported Greek independence before dying in 1824 at age 36 while in Greece.
