Anakin complains that Obi-Wan can be annoying and says he will have to remember to call Anakin "padawan learner" from now on.

Intro to Continuous Integration at SoundCloud
In the past year at SoundCloud, we've improved our CI from a single machine running our limited unit test suite to several machines running a linter, unit tests, acceptance tests and building several versions of our app including the AppStore version for every commit. This enabled us to move away from pull-requests and code reviews and use trunk based development and pairing, as well as scale the team from 3 to 7 developers.
We've stopped relying on Xcode Schemes for builds, we're using instead command line tools and compile-time parameters to automatically build internal versions of our app and distribute it internally.
In order to make our release process more reliable, the AppStore version of the app is created by re-signing an AdHoc build. This enables us to test the exact same binary that will be submitted to the AppStore.
This talk will focus on 3 areas of our continuous integration: testing, building with user defined build settings and signing apps.

Z upływem lat sytuacja poprawiła się, dzięki zastosowaniu AJAX-a czy long pollingu, jednak wciąż była daleka od ideału. Na szczęście, obecnie programiści są w znacznie lepszej sytuacji - dzięki WebSocketom bez żadnego problemu są w stanie zaimplementować komunikację w czasie rzeczywistym, niezbędną np. do gier online, aplikacji do komunikacji czy aplikacji finansowych.
W ramach tego wykładu słuchacze zapoznają się z różnymi koncepcjami stosowanymi w komunikacji pomiędzy przeglądarką a serwerem HTTP, z uwzględnieniem WebSocketów. Oprócz tego zostaną przedstawione mechanizmy obsługi WS od strony serwera, na przykładzie Node.js i Socket.IO. Różne rozwiązania zostaną poddane porównaniu pod kątem wydajności. Mimo licznych zalet, WebSockety niosą za sobą pewne problemy - zostaną one również poddane analizie.

Section based hex cell routing algorithm (sbhcr)
A Hex-Cell network topology can be constructed using units of hexagon cells. It has been introduced in the literature as interconnection network suitable for large parallel computers, which can connect large number of nodes with three links per node. Although this topology exhibits attractive characteristics such as embeddability, symmetry, regularity, strong resilience, and simple routing, the previously suggested routing algorithms suffer from the high number of logical operations and the need for readdressing of nodes every time a new level is add to the network. This negatively impacts the performance of the network as it increases the execution time of these algorithms. In this paper we propose an improved optimal point to point routing algorithm for Hex-Cell network. The algorithm is based on dividing the Hex-Cell topology into six divisions, hence the name Section Based Hex-Cell Routing (SBHCR). The SBHCR algorithm is simple and preserves the advantage of the addressing scheme proposed for the Hex-Cell network. It does not depend on the depth of the network topology which leads to overcome the issue of readdressing of nodes every time a new level is added. Evaluation against two previously suggested routing algorithms has shown the superiority of SBHCR in term of less logical operations.
