This document provides details about the design and fabrication of a plastic mulching machine for agricultural applications. It was created by a group of 4 students under the guidance of Prof. B. G. Koujalagi. The document includes sections on the introduction, literature survey, objectives, working principle, methodology, work done so far, and references. The objectives are to develop an automated machine that can lay mulch film without the need for a tractor to reduce labor and increase production. The proposed design uses solar panels to power electric motors that move the machine and lay the plastic mulch. Calculations are provided on the machine's components, required torque, battery power needs, and estimated cost.
