OVERVIEW OF CHAMBER
1. “The industrial business chamber of Western Sydney” …
Not-for-profit, independent, apolitical, member owned and operated…
Members typically come from an industrial business or a company which supplies goods and services to the
industrial sector. It might be in engineering, manufacturing, logistics, hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication,
transportation, tool making, plastic injection moulding or industrial design? Or a supplier of CAD software, forklifts,
sheet metal, lubricants, machine cutters, bolts and fasteners, compressors, chemicals or trucks? Or financial planning,
human resources, training, vehicle repairs, hardware, travel, banking or industrial law…
We are committed to business growth…we provide opportunities for people to meet and encourage each other,
discuss ideas, receive new business building knowledge, source new suppliers and customers, and provide feedback on
challenges they are facing which the Chamber can then present to government or industry associations on their
behalf…
We are strong advocates for “Support Australian Industry. Buy Australian Products.”
Assist our members to grow and become more profitable through gaining business expertise and new connections…
We work with our members to identify key issues affecting their individual businesses or industries as a whole and we
find authority figures with the knowledge to provide practical solutions…
These may include practical advice on becoming more innovative, research and development incentives and grants,
advanced manufacturing, agile production, automation, product development, supply chain management, logistics
and distribution, upskilling, exporting, work place safety, business structure, finance, communication, marketing, etc.

2. Our functions are open to member companies and individuals as well as non-members…
Special Interest Groups are being developed in which members can work together on specific topics and
simultaneously benefit from the information they generate…
We are developing a highly focused Business Development Cell (BDC) which will allow representatives from member
companies to form a working group to assess best practice activities which they can then implement in their
businesses. The initial topic for assessment will be Supply Chain Management. The chair of this BDC is a Chamber
member and the Vice President of the Australian Production & Inventory Control Society and works in one of the
largest food manufacturing companies in Australia.
Our initiatives include:
