Over the past 3 years, university prices in the UK have risen significantly, with tuition fees increasing to £9,000 in 2012 from £6,000, leading to a nearly 50% drop in university attendance. Overall, the data shows rising prices are reducing university attendance as many students cannot afford the cost of attendance.
