Outline Format

This MLA sample outline provides instructions for formatting an outline. It specifies that outline pages should be numbered with small roman numerals and the outline should begin with the thesis statement and follow a standard format. Complete sentences should be used and the writer's name and page number should be typed 1 inch from the top of each page, along with the source citation.
