• Staszów is a picturesque and
historial town .The town is an
administrative centre of the
surrounding villages nestled
along the banks of the Czarna
river. The region offers a unique
microclimate because there are
forests and beautiful lakes
inside.
• St. Bartholomew Church
is the oldest monument in
Staszów. It was built in
1342 - 1343, in the spot
where a wooden church
had stood, burned by the
Tatars in 1241. The
church
was
renovated
several times, and its
present shape differs from
the original. There is 19th
century the Tenczyński
Chapel inside.
• The forests
surrounding Staszów
are the idyllic places
for walks, leisure
and relaxing. They
are rich of the
wildlife and lakes.
You can fish in
Golejow, one of the
biggest lakes.
• St. Spirit Church
stands on the
place of the
previous old
church which
was destroyed
during the second
World War.
• TheTown Hall was built in 1738 by
Prince August Aleksander Czartoryski.
Today there are : a library and a
restaurant . The Town Hall is located
in the middle of the market, the old
town center. It was built of bricks
covered with a high roof in the
classical style. There is located a
monument where Staszów citizens
celebrate the the most important and
historical dates such as 3 May and
the Independent Day on 11 November.

• Ignacy Jan Paderewski is the patron of our
school. He was born on 6 November 1860,
in Kuryłówka. He liked and wanted to help
people. He had a uncommon generosity,
diligence, thoroughness and accuracy. He
died in 1941.

scouting ,photographic
circles, etc.
• In September 2010, the five schools
were awarded and received a grant to
conduct an international Comenius
project. This partnership with schools
in Poland, Spain, Great Britain,
Czech Republic and Belgium. Our
school is also involved in the project.
• The language of communication is
English
• Since this year, our
school participated in
a pilot program with
the government's
development of
competencies of
students and
teachers. Thus, we
are among the 402
schools in Poland and
17 in Świętokrzyskie
voivodship under the
pilot project.
