Oskar Schindler was a German industrialist who saved over 1,000 Jewish people from the Holocaust by employing them in his factories. After witnessing the brutality of the Nazis against Jews, Schindler decided to risk everything to protect his Jewish workers, known as "Schindlerjuden." Through bribery and using his wealth and charm, Schindler was able to keep his workers safe from deportation to concentration camps. At the end of World War 2, Schindler arranged for his workers to be freed, having spent his entire fortune to save them from the Nazis.
