Remarks by Mr. Sha Zukang, Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs, Secretary-General of The 2012 UN Conference on Sustainable Development
Globalization, or a series of changes leading to a greater interdependence and integration of the world socially, economically, politically, and culturally, is an ongoing process that commenced centuries before with communication and trade between ancient civilizations, it was only in recent years that globalization became a revolutionary process fundamentally changing the way people live and interact with the rest of the world. The invention of the Internet by Tim Berners-Lee, coupled with cutting-edge transportation technology, paved the way for a greater degree of integration of the world than ever before
As Steve Jobs once said ” Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.

Organizing for America - 13 million voices of
change

We are being called the Shadow Elite, a term used for those with power and
purpose...what a compliment from those behind the conciousness curve that don't
understand that social networks are the way for people to visably connect their values
and desires with no time, space or cultural borders.
Where ideas, innovation, scale and speed are assets of the technologically mobile and
where freedom or thought, speech and action are respected as the Founding Fathers
intended in the Constitution.
There are 13 million of us:) 13 million global citizens who believe in the Change We want
to see in the world and are prepared to invest our time, energy, funds and resources to
BE that CHANGE!
To see it, smell it, taste it, touch it, live it, be it!
So we are the Shadow Elite! Bold and brave to inspire, mobilize and support President
Obama, the G20 leaders and the G192 to bring about a new world where every citizen
can be green and sustainable...where a life of 'Learning, Earning and Service' is a great
Legacy and where our talents and skills can be leveraged to Empower the Poor..a new
world of prosperity that is inclusive.
