Glamour Media portrayal of mobsters made their popularity ever increasing. They were like rock stars on steroids Everyone wanted to be them. The most famous ones were John Dillinger and Al Capone.
Their imaginary role They were thought to be community service figures who gave back to their community--- Al Capone practically built his neighborhood.
Dangers Although, society respected these people, they also got a healthy dose of fear too--- Many brutal crimes occurred like extortion, racketeering, bootlegging, and murder The most famous killing was The St. Valentine’s Day massacre– Gang war, where 7 unarmed Moran gang members were gunned down by Capone’s police disguised people
