In case you are wondering what P.A.I.D. is, "P.A.I.D." is an acronym for Planning. Analysis. Innovation. Design. An underlying assumption of the theme of "Better P.A.I.D. Conversations" is that existing conversations are at worst, "bad" and at best, just "good." Existing P.A.I.D. Conversations in organizations are based on a paradigm of a slow moving and predictable environment. In today's world of globalization, where events occur at the speed of thought, a predictable environment is more of an exception than the rule. As environments rapidly change, so must organizations. Otherwise, organizations that fail to adapt suffer from organization sclerosis and eventually death. So, what is the remedy? This presentation features a family of visual tools that fall under the category of "Organization Mapping." The tools can be used for improving Organization P.A.I.D.: Planning, Analysis, Innovation, and Design. To facilitate understanding and application of Organization Mapping, the tools are applied to the country of Sierra Leone as well as University of Sierra Leone, the first university to be established in Sub-saharan Africa. The process of Organization Mapping can be applied to any and every organization irrespective of size, structure, and location.
